AMD Ryzen 5 5600G 6-Core 12-Thread Unlocked Desktop Processor with Radeon Graphics

As a software engineer the 5600g offers near the CPU performance of the 5600 with pretty solid 1080p GPU performance. While it can do mid tier 1080p gaming, the 5600g is perfect for those wanting an HTPC, or a workstation. OR in these trying times where funding in discrete GPU an affordable price is nearly impossible.

Works well - easy to install on the ATX A5220M H motherboard

It was installed very easily into a B550 Asrock MB. I purchased this processor because it had integrated graphics. I needed to do a PC build for one of my G-Kids as a Christmas present and couldnt afford to get him a graphics card at the current prices. This unit will play all of the games he wants and when he gets older it will be fairly easy to upgrade to a dedicated card. Hopefully, the prices on graphic cards will come down by then and he can either purchase an upgrade himself, or maybe he will get one on a future Christmas/birthday.

Cpu died on me within a days usage, inexplicably. Returned and recieved my refund and bought the ever so slightly more powerful 5600x (pc has now been working without issue or concern.)

This is hellacious bang for buck. Ignore the 5700G, its overpriced and nothing like a non-APU 5700 so its existence is only for those who feel like paying another $100 for nearly identical performance. But this is a pot of gold. Plays any games before Resident Evil 7 and some after at 1080p/720p30 without breaking a sweat, and sips power. What a beast in this day and age where coming by a GPU is rare.

Performs fast, has a pretty decent integrated Vega GPU which can handle many games at 1080p. Just in case my main GPU fails it shall tide me over
