Best mid range processor for gaming as well as light to medium work loads. But slightly overpriced due to pandemic.

Its been a month since I installed this new ryzen cpu and so far it works great. I would need to mention that if you have a pc/motherboard thats a bit older, you will need to update your bios. Nothing major, but do that before installing the cpu as was the case with me lol

Excelente procesador para el rango de precios que no pasa de US200 y no tener que pagar impuestos en Colombia, que con la devaluación de nuestra moneda, muchos no podemos darnos ese lujo. No creo necesario tener algo mas potente para la actual plataforma y software existente. Eso si es mejor colocarle una refrigeración diferente a la estándar que viene en la caja. Lo recomiendo.

I just got it on 1/15 at my local microcenter.

Wanted to upgrade from a Intel 4790 which served me really well for over 5 years. This CPU is just fantastic, got very lucky with ordering one with Amazon due to the very high demand and the scalpers. Have this mounted on an MSI B550 Carbon Wi-Fi which I got for a great price. The only issue I have run into is my particular memory will not run at 3600 with XMP on though is stable at 3200. This is more to do with my RAM so I would advise checking the QVL lists from the motherboard vendor. This may change for me with future BIOS updates. Gaming performance is fantastic. Hoping to get another 5 years with my new setup, really happy I upgraded now on a mature AM4 platform.
