AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 8-Core, 16-Thread Unlocked Desktop Processor with Wraith Prism LED Cooler

A beast. Coming from an i5 4670K, without changing the graphic card, I have seen increases of around 40 to 50% in fps in games. In heavy multitasking, absolutely no lag whatsoever.

At first it wouldnt boot up, reinstalled old cpu, updated the bios for the motherboard, reinstalled this cpu, and it works great. Make sure your bios is up to date. The computer runs smooth and fast. I cant speak to over clocking, I never over clock.

This processor has a low write speed in memory and support for AMD does not recognize it

Excellent cpu amazing value for price. You can’t go wrong with a 3700x not worth upgrading to a 3900x quite yet. Until the 3000 series graphics cards. If you are building a computer in 2020 THIS needs to be your cpu. Paired with a 2070 super you get the most performance for low cost.

Installed w/o incident on Tomahawk B550 motherboard. Youll need a video card to access BIOS. System uses 35-50w @ idle. Overall, very pleased.

Upgraded this from Ryzen 1700x, and it made a big difference. While using Ryzen 1700x, Warzone would be utilizing 100% of my CPU and cause hiccups. and the fans would get loud. This CPU is is only being utilized about 30% and my PC is staying extremely quit while playing Warzone. Frame per seconds more then doubled on top of that.

I got this to upgrade and aging FX8350 that was still going strong, but felt dated. Wasnt expecting a significant difference but there sure was one. For the money I cant believe how powerful this processor is. I only occasionally do light gaming, so I dont know how much it can really handle, but I do video editing with Vegas Pro software and this has no problem keeping up. Paired this processor with an MSI Mag B550 Tomahawk and am very happy with the build. I did end up tossing out the included wraith stealth cooler, It was too loud and didnt do the best job. The cooler is good enough, but not good. AMD has yet to disappoint me, this is no exception.
