As said in the headline, it gets a little hot with the wraith prism cooler, so if you want better temperatures, you might want an aio or maybe something to that effect. Its a really good cpu though, really good.

why buy a 3800 when you can get this for $50 dollars less 10/10 best mid-range chip atm.

Fantastic processor but installing the fan/cooler is hardddddddd. Feels like youre going to break the clip. Smudged the thermal paste trying to install it because of this.

I purchased this AMD RYZEN 3700X CPU for my first AMD build, since I feel that this (or even the AMD Ryzen 3600) are the sweet-spot for people not interested in throwing a ton of money at a new desktop build, or overclocking hardware in general - but still having a system with robust performance capabilities.

better then intel in price and proformance

I can already tell that this CPU is going to stand the tests of time. The Ryzen 7 3700X paired with the RTX 3080 FE is already running Cyberpunk 2077 at 4K 60fps with max settings (including ray tracing) and I have no doubt that I will be met with the same performance on newer games in the future. For the price, the CPU is an absolute steal and shows why 8 core processors are the standard for PCs in this generation.

Ive used this CPU in my personal system for a much needed upgrade.
