Greater than one weekUpdated March 2021 Review: The new 3700X seems happy in my Asrock X570M Pro4. Its been holding it down for a few months, now. Its very quick and snappy with my Gen4 m.2, and easily pushes my R/W speed to the m.2 drives limit (5000/4400 MB/s). The included Wraith Prism cooler does a decent job: The hottest Ive seen it is 83°C under serious load with 100% fans. Out of the box, at idle, it will sit around 2.3 GHz, but when working, it will boost up to 4.395 GHz, and level out at about 3.9 GHz under sustained load. I then slapped a Lian Li Galahad 240 AIO on it, and let AMD Ryzen Master do its Auto Overclocking thing, and now this bad boy routinely boosts to 4.441 GHz, and usually levels out at around 4.2 GHz under sustained load. Very nice.

> 3 dayI got this package about 1-2 weeks ago and whenever the package arrived, the instructions said delivered to your mail box, I was like how is that going to fit in there, anyways I went to check it and surely enough, I got a cardboard packaging, with a, intel 0.18 a fan for this amd 3700x, instead of a wraith prism, I do believe it was an honest mistake and my refund request was approved so Im getting it refunded and a 5800x for the same prize just no fan.

Greater than one weekThey dont know what they are selling or they intentionally left the detail out and the actual product label on the top of box off pictures. Now a discrete Graphic Card is required

> 3 dayThis is my second Ryzen build and Im very happy with both. Buying a CPU is pretty straight forward, just get the fastest one for the money you want to spend. Today, thats usually a Ryzen chip. Also, I like the air coolers that come with the units. They keep the CPU sufficiently cool as long as youre not trying to seriously overclock. The RGB fan looks good in a clear case, too. Ive got the Ryzen mounted in an X570 motherboard with 32GB RAM running Win10 and have not noted any issues with office/game software so far. Inserting the chip in the motherboard just requires you to match the appropriate corners and make sure the chips pins drop into the holes (may take a very gentle nudge with a finger). The fan comes equipped with thermal compound, which is nice. **The fans thermal paste is not protected by anything other than the plastic tray the fan ships in.** DO NOT place the fan down on anything other than that tray or the Ryzen chip. Getting the fan clips to properly grip the mount retains before locking it down is a little tricky, but not all that bad. There are two small cords for the RGB that are best plugged in before you lock down the fan. Just identify the one you need, remove the appropriate (and very small) rubber cover on the fans base and plug it into one of the motherboards RGB outlets. My only regret is that I needed this computer before Ryzen came out with the next generation chips in mid-2020. Oh well, it wont kill me to do a third Ryzen build.

Greater than one weekWhile the single-threaded performance of this CPU might lag Intel a bit, the value and multi-threaded performance puts this one over the top.
