I upgraded from the Ryzen 5 2600 to this, and JESUS was that a good decision. It idles at 40-60C which is a bit hot, but Im going to water cool it with a 240mm radiator so Im hoping that will bring down the heat a bit. The stock cooler looks amazing with the RGB effect, and overall I cant complain at all. A very good CPU, well worth the money.

Got a very nice surprise when I received my package out of the amazon box already ripped open and the ryzen box ripped to find the cpu was taken out of it. Had a bad experience trying to get through on chat an was passed around. Got through on the phone and was able to get someone who knew what they were doing and sort out the issue. Extremely disappointed I spent a lot of money building a pc purchasing the parts through amazon for something like this to happen. There has seemed to be nothing but issues the last month or so with purchases will start buying elsewhere going forward.

Ryzen 7 3800X is the best CPU that I have ever had. I have an all core O.C. of 4.45 @1.325V stable. Stock it will boost to 4.525 and will do it on all cores but it hits nearly 1.5V (insane) even if AND says its normal. My system Ryzen 7 3800X , MSI X570 pro carbon wifi, Noctua nh-d15 , g.skill trident z 16gb 8x2 CL16 3200 O.C.ed to 3600 T1 15 18 18 18 35, Sapphire Pulse Vega 56 fixing to switch to RTX 2070 super MSI Gaming Trio

Absolutely brilliant CPU. Im upgrading from a Ryzen 1600x, and the difference is very apparent. Much faster game loading times, much faster extraction using winrar and application speeds. PBO has gotten me up to 4.4 GHZ boost right out of the box. Im using a Deepcool Captain 120mm AIO cooler instead of the wraith prism that comes with Ryzens, but that wouldve still been satisfactory I think. No temperature issues or any other problems, just smooth sailing.

I replaced my i7-4960 which was overclocked to 4.6ghz and went with AMD and the 3800x. Got it setup on a new 570 motherboard and quickly jumped to an all core overclock of 4.4ghz and i can quickly see the increased speed just in Windows boot to Start-up process. 8 cores is enough for me an any virtualization i need to perform. But, for only $100 more you can go to 4 more cores. Tempting, but honestly 8 cores/16 threads is enough for my needs. The 3800X means no need to go for the last drop of overclock.

Had a hard time OC this boy but definitely had fun. Nice boost speed and core counts.
