This processor is very capable, and Im currently using it, running on a Linux machine. I have encoded movies and done a ton of other tasks at great speed over my Ryzen 2700. Im running a plex server browsing the web and doing several other things without issue.

I simply love it. Super easy to install on the motherboard. It comes with a good cooler fan with a pre-applied layer of thermal paste (dont touch it, as I did). The G stands for graphics and a good graphic Id say. Its Vega 8 processor make an excellent backup if you have a dedicated card, and if not, it allows you to go with some less demanding games and software. I was also surprised when I see its price below C$300

I wanted this to make my rig faster, and was not disappointed in the least. Easy to install and set up. I do have to point out that, after I installed it and went into Windows there was apparently some problems with an unknown driver conflict. I use an MSI RX 580 8GB video card, so I didnt need the onboard graphics solution embedded within the processor. Whatever the conflict was, it caused sound and video stuttering, and refreshing the video card and sound drivers didnt fix the problem.

Ive never left a review before for a product, but this CPU is so great that I had to. I originally was going to go with a Ryzen 9 for my first ever PC build, but with the current GPU market and concerns I had about my cases cooling abilities, I opted for this CPU instead. It was cheaper and the integrated graphics really sold me so that I could use and play on my PC while I waited for when I could obtain a GPU. And HOLY HELL are the integrated graphics on this amazing for me!! Im able to play Overwatch, Minecraft, Sea of Thieves, and even Red Dead Redemption 2 at medium to high graphics on a 144hz monitor with no issue!! Im not big into overclocking and I dont play extremely intensive visual games, so if you are in a similar spot to me, I highly HIGHLY recommend this CPU. I did not use the stock cooler (went with a Cooler Master fan instead), so just keep that in mind!
