I always buy this guide for the coupons. This book is valuable for locals more so than visitors to the strip.

If you are headed to gamble this is a super book. The book paid for itself when we visited Las Vegas. Many coupons we were able to use in the downtown area. Even if you only use a few coupons, it is worth it. There were some BOGOF offers to absolutely free items just for stopping in. One thing, is you do need to carry the “ card” in the front of the book in order to redeem some of the coupons. Often times, the casinos do ask for it if you don’t have the book.

Five stars if you plan to go to 20 casinos in Las Vegas. One star otherwise for weak gaming advice and listing of places that include many that are out of business.

The book does not have some of my favorite buffet or matchplay coupons from prior years but still is a good value and the articles are first-rate. A fine addition this year is the Rio buffet coupon. Wish there were more AC coupons.

There is nothing in the book that you cant find pretty much on-line. However, the satistical information relating to payouts, I found somewhat informative. Keep in mind, going to a casino is for entertainment, not a source of income. Anyone who gambles on the assumption they are going to win a guaranteed jackpot, will be sadly disappointed.

Were going to Las Vegas on a vacation and I will plan my entertainment and eating according to the coupons available. The book provides many USEFUL coupons that will help me save money and still enjoy a variety of shows, attractions and good and inexpensive restaurants as well.

The coupons were the main reason I bought the book, but I was disappointed to find that I wouldnt use most of them. The rest of the book was ok, but not nearly as useful as The Unofficial Guide to Las Vegas. If you are planning a lot of off-strip activities, the coupons would be helpful. Im not and they arent.

We recently purchased two of these books for a recent Vegas trip. The coupons alone paid for the books. $25 free slots play at the Venetian was one of the better coupons. We also used quite a few others. The other info in the book is rather generic and can be found elsewhere including the internet, but handy to have in one place while you travel.

Bought this primarily for the Venetian/Palazzo $25 free play coupon. I figured this would surely make the books pay for themselves. Unfortunately, VP decided to change their policy on accepting these coupons on July 1. Venetian/Palazzo will no longer accept the $25 free play coupon as of July 1. They will gladly offer a very stylish Venetian T-shirt instead... if that is your kind of thing.

Sadly, the value of these coupon books gets worse with every passing year. Ive gotten the American Casino Guide since 2008 every single year. Back then, there were actually valuable coupons that you could use if you went to Las Vegas, and some local coupons for casinos in your area. With each passing year the value of the coupons gets worse and worse. Whereas almost every casino on the strip was represented, now only the cheaper casinos have related coupons and theyre hardly worth using. Youll never find anything for Mandalay Bay, Aria, the Bellagio, Cosmo, Caesars, Venetian, Palazzo, Wynn, Encore or any more upscale place. I remember getting a random medallion at Caesars before or buy-one-get-one Eiffel Tower Rides (which youd get if you checked into Paris anyway). Now you get nothing. The coupons for Fremont Street still exist but again, arent very good. The local casinos by me no longer have ANY coupons in that book at all. For me, the price of the book far surpasses anything Id save on these awful coupons so 2018 will mark the last year I make this purchase. (If you want a book detailing some information about the casinos and going over gameplay, that information in useful. Then again, its not necessary to buy the book every year. Once time will suffice.)
