locking mechanism feels solid. im not a lock expert, but the keys are unusually designed, so it looks like they would be difficult to copy, and the lock difficult to pick. not cheap, but worth a peace of mind, especially if leaving your RV unattended. Extra points for made in Canada, not China.

Lock is very heavy duty and well made. It is easy to install onto the fifth wheel hitch and gives peace of mind that the trailer is secure.

Heavy and strong!!! You get two keys but we ordered additional keys because if you loose the key you will never get that lock off the fifth wheel!!!!

Really glad my wife insisted that we buy this. Our son read an article about trailers getting stolen so the insisted that I purchase one right away. It covers the whole hitch pin and is really solid, heavy solid. Its coated in a really nice grey material that so far hasnt chipped. The locking pin feels like it engages securely. I dont see anyone that isnt really prepared to go after this lock with REAL tools getting past this thing. I feel that any thief that is just looking for the easy mark will move on to easier pickings when seeing this lock. I have recommended it to several people.

So far this has been very easy to use. And I really like how heavy duty it is. Criminals can eventually get through anything but the point of theft deterrent systems are to make it too difficult to be worth it so they move on to the next job. This definitely does that. It would take a while to break through unless you have the key.

Solid, light weight, gives me a piece of mind when boondocking.
