> 3 dayItems are cheap, light weight, cable snapped and holding a lot less weight then what they claimed it could hold. Clips and turn buckles are light weight…. Didn’t even try using them, and bought sturdier ones….which they worked fine— it’s just the cable was cheap and snapped.

05-06-2025This kit had everything we needed & then some. We used existing trees, hung 3 sets of 48’ light sets (purchased separately) & love the outcome.

> 3 dayThey give these locking pieces but they’re too small to thread the wire through. Super annoying to get all set to do this project finally and now have to go get something else.

> 3 dayI installed a string of LED lights across the yard from house to a pergola. Initially I just hung the lights over a tree limb. A could of months later the wire was broken. Dont know if from an animal or rubbing on the limb. I used this kit to hang the lights. It came with so many useful bits! Much better solution and now it doesnt sag.

> 3 dayHung up outdoor lights with this cable kit. I didnt need instructions, I just figured it out in about 10 minutes time. All parts are sturdy and the install was fairly simple. The cable didnt fray when I cut it and the clamps are holding after about 2 months in the Vegas wind. I installed 2 eyelits to the house and ran cables from each of the eyelits to an 8 foot pole that I attached to my backyard wall. No issues at all. The lights I strung up are pretty hefty and weigh about 20 pounds per string, I currently have 3 sets of these lights strung around the cabling, so the cables can hold some weight for a long period of time. Everything about this kit was perfect for what I needed it for.

> 3 dayMy husband and I installed the wires and attached two 48 bulb light strings in about three hours. I did do some planning/layout work in advance. In general the kit is impressive and flexible and saves what is likely several trips to the hardware store. We only augmented the kit with a couple of items for our particular implementation - we wanted a thicker cable with a thicker plastic coating for the part that went around the tree to protect the bark more, supported by a couple larger hooks screws into the tree. Also, while we used the enclosed twist ties to attach each of the lights, I dont know if they will last - they are pretty light duty. We augmented with zip ties and added tape to the cable at the ends/turns to prevent sliding. As mentioned in some other reviews, we struggled getting the clamps on the wires because the holes were too small. Smart hubby used a 7/64ths regular drill bit on the holes and everything was easy after that... Probably a minor risk that the holes are no longer smooth and could cut into the vinyl coating after a while, but since they are clamped down now with the screws think it will be fine. The vinyl coated write cable and other accessories seem to be good quality.
