The USB portion of this adapter has a plastic covering around it so you cant plug it into the female end of the USB connection. I was trying to use it to connect my cars female USB connection to the (stupid) new iPhone lightning to USB-C cord. Why does Apple have to keep changing these connections? Just a totally frustrating experience.

Wasted money on these after both adapters stopped working in less than a week. Just unacceptable.

With everything switching to USB-C, these converters are an essential tool to have. I use them when connecting to old external hard drives and for connecting usb sticks to use on 3D printers and CNC machines at my school. They’re portable, and easily fit inside a backpack pocket and the quality feels amazing. It’s metal and sturdy and it’s just a secure fit.

Worked as advertised

I have always had good results from Anker products, but I have to say I am disappointed with this adapter. Let me say that it does function, it works changing a usb-a to a usb-c so that you may use for instance the 1000s of older cords you have laying around like I do. I was hoping that these adapters would allow me access to faster charging with the cords I have, not so. I was hoping I could utilize a memory stick with my Apple product with usb-c port. Nope. All that this does is change a usb-a to a usb-c. To Ankers credit, I dont believe they claimed it would work like I was hoping, although it does state high speed data transfer in their description, and there are some reviews that people say they were able to produce satisfactory results like this. Dont go by these reviews. In my opinion the price I paid for the adapters is just too high. Do yourself a favor and just replace your usb-a cords with usb-c cords, and look elsewhere if youre looking to move files from a computer with usb-c connectors to a memory stick. Dont waste your money here.

Good solid made adapter. Im not sure that ANKER didnt just slap their name on some other companies adapter? (Quality is good, but definitely not the same as most ANKER products.) They work and thats what matters, and you get (2) of them!
