Greater than one weekI found it kind of a tight fit when I was attaching the USB A side. But I could see why it was designed this way, to prevent a lost connection. I would connect the USB A side first before connecting the USB C.

Greater than one weekThese USB C to A Adapters work exactly as expected. My only complaint is that they (by necessity) extend the length of whatever youre attaching by about an inch. This might make it easier to snap off, twist, or bend the connected devices, especially if (like in my case) youre using them with flash drives plugged into a laptop.
