I have an emperor 400 that Ive been using for years with the OEM filter cartridges I have a 40 gallon cube and water has always been crystal clear ,after my last water change I used this product along with activated charcoal in the baskets that came with the filter ,after a few days the water developed a slight cloudiness that persisted, actually got worse ,I just did a water change and went back to the old cartridges and within an hour my tank is almost back to the clarity that Ive been used to.The product was very easy to cut and overall it was .....ok but I was disappointed in it.

Buying this from local stores would cost much more for the same product. This and a pair of scissors would save you a lot of cash over the long run. Recommend this product.

Awesome filter material. I use it as my first stage of filtration before a sponge and bio media. Last long and keeps my water super clean. Easy to clean and replace as well. Just cut to size and slap it in your filter basket.

Works great and the best deal for the money. I use it for my 250 gallon tank which has a turtle . Roll last me for awhile. Tank always clean.

With almost 500 gallons of aquariums under my roof I go through this stuff like crazy and it’s integral in every tank. I use it in my sumps as well as in the all in one tanks. I precut the sizes I need from the roll for each application and store them near each tank. Makes changing them every few days super easy. Best bang for your buck!

Just what I needed to replace my pond filters medium. I was using quilt batting cause it was cheap. This cut to fit easily with scissors and I have rinsed and replaced. Rinses nicely.
