> 3 dayI prefer to use as little heat sink paste as possible. The best thermal transfer occurs from direct contact with the heat sink, but since there are small variances in the smoothness of the heatsink contact surface (but likely not the processor so much), there are also voids -- even after polishing the surface of the heatsink and cleaning the mating parts. Since any thermal paste has thermal resistance you only want to fill the voids and have as little paste in contact with the mating sections of the parts as possible. This is where the thinner formulation of MX-4 helps. It can squish out the way of the mating sections more easily and give you better overall heat transfer.

The product that arrived was also in bad shape with and doubt If its genuine one as it seemed as a used one. I have used it on 3 different laptop and have noticed no change in temperature.
