Greater than one weekI replaced the old OEM thermal paste on my Lenovo ThinkStation S20 from late 2010 with this. I tried the 5-dot method and the pea-sized glob method (using a slightly larger glob due to the larger chip package / IHS on the old hexacore Xeon W3680 CPU). I took before and after readings, noting the ambient temps with the BIOS set to normal for fan control. I found:
