Right analog stick was broken, so of course the only way to fix that was to do a full teardown if the system, including the removal of the heat sink on the cpu. I specifically chose this thermal paste because I wanted to avoid any mishaps. Gallium based thermal pastes can easily destroy a whole board, so this product was an easy choice.
