Arctic Silver 5 AS5-3.5G Thermal Paste

This is a great little product. It reduced my core 1 temp from 79 + C to 45 C on load. Core 2 stays at a cooler 30 C. I was not able to watch any HD video, flash video. Laptop froze on me. Then i cracked open (literally) my laptop, stripped it down to motherboard, found the processor. Cleaned it up and applied paste to it. Walah!!!

This Thermal saved me $2000.00 my gaming laptop went on blue screen and trashed in a shop for a year, after reading some reviews online I purchased this thermal for (DIY) it took me few hours to take the laptop apart but the outcome is amazing, we often spend thousands to repair a pc with blue screen (death screen) which mine wouldnt start the window at all, but this thermal really helped me, I am about to use it on my desktop as well.

Works great! Dropped my active operating temp by 10 degrees and now when I am running very demanding software the CPU hasnt gotten hotter than 175 C while with previous bargain compound it would hover at just below 200 C or shut down if went about 201 C.

I have never bought any other thermal compound so cannot compare to others, but Arctic Silver 5 clearly worked great. Easy to apply and reduced the temperature of my CPU 25 degrees C, I bought new thermal compound because the old thermal compound was apparently not working anymore. Go figure.

I use to idle at around 70°c I had my cpu running with the leftover thermal paste on the fan so I decided I need to get some thermal paste if I want to game on my pc . So now my pc idle at around 40°c & while gaming I get 60 to 70°c. Remember a small amount gets you a long way.
