I actually bought this for my boyfriend, who has never had a laptop before. So hes a good example of your average computer user, he mainly just needed something more versatile and powerful than a smartphone to run his online business. My first thought when we opened the box was that this is a really good looking laptop! The screen is beautiful, the keyboard is simple, its compact and light, but it looks fresh and updated and clean. He hasnt had any issues figuring out how to use Chrome OS and he loves how quick it is and loves the way the screen looks and of course he loves that he can use it as a touch screen tablet or flip it back to a regular laptop. Im honestly jealous and am now considering getting one myself! Definitely worth the investment and I know it will be put to good use. We are beyond satisfied with it so far!

Easy for PC or Mac users to learn to use as incorporates features from each. Good for basic use. Unfortunately neither apple or Microsoft software are available for it.

I like that it has an SSD port. I got this one to replacw another that totally died after 2 weeks. Hopefully this one will last longer.

First of all some reviews here are for the older model, this review is for the 2021 Asus Chromebook CM3 Flip. Is is not the detachable. This is a fun little rocket of a Chromebook. The 3:2 Aspect Ratio is a pleasure for reading and working on. Stylus support and light weight make it great as a tablet as well. The screen is very good for a 1366-912 resolution due to the 12 inch screen. 235 nits of brightness are just good enough. The battery life is insane! I got 13 hours on my first day of use. I am down to 50% as of this review and I still have just over 6.5 hours for the weekend. Travel without a charger! The speakers are solid for a smaller device and dont worry about the Mediatek 8183 processor as it runs smoothly. I have always been into intel core processors, perhaps a pentium gold once or twice and I worried about the Mediatek but suffice it to say that one day of use has convinced me that my fears were totally unfounded. Oh, ad a nice smooth and almost velvet like feel to the palm rest and an almost glass like feel to the trackpad along with the nice aluminium cover and this device feels much more expensive than it is. Highly recommended!

Touch screen works great! I bought it for my husbands birthday, to help him run his business. Originally just so he could do his quotes on it. But it ended up being able to do everything he needed to go paperless.

This was one in a series of attempts to replace my beloved Transformer, bl;own out by Hawaiian electric. I cant say it did that entirely, but it is a nice, portable little machine. It is slower than I had aniticipated, given all I have heard about how light Chrome is, but I actually think Google is as much to blame here. Asus makes great computers. This is perfect if you need something light. It is much better than a phone for reading, streaming... I am tempted to call it a ntebook. I actuallly have one of Asuss original netbooks. It is 20+ years old and still works.

This (and several of Asus other Chromebooks) seem like a good buy. They have good keyboards, pretty decent screens, are mostly lightweight and for writing and web-based browsing and activities work well. However... Asus Chromebooks are plagued by deep-rooted issues where they wont turn on and (as mine did) had to be opened up in the back and the batteries disconnected in order to get it back on. Asus has zero technical support and seems determined to not fix this core issue. Sorry, what seems good on the outside will ultimately have you regretting your purchase.
