I love using this laptop. It’s incredibly strong and the ability to upgrade RAM and SSD makes it even stronger. The chassis isn’t the best though, as the keyboard dips a bit if you type hard enough, and after a week of use one of the tabs that prevents the laptop screen from hitting the keyboard has fallen out entirely.

Im totally amazed by the Ryzen 7 5700U chip. This is the best package of features you can get for this price (719 USD when I bought it). It has better features than most laptops at this price range. All my work is handled very smoothly and the fan is super quiet. The touch screen and stylus support are awesome. I have no problem with the 250 nit brightness because I feel 50% is enough; I use the laptop mostly indoors so maybe I dont have any problem with that. If performance and that premium feel are your top priority, definitely go for this one. It also transitions very smoothly from tablet mode.

I have ultimately decided to return this laptop as its not quite up to the quality I would like and I have also experienced some issues outlined below. Here are some takeaways:

Im a fan of most of ASUS products and knew this would do everything my granddaughter needed it to do as she is very artistic and being in high school she doesnt need a high end laptop but this has all the features she requires at her current level and for the price is packed with features she will be able to use well into her college years.

Ive only had it for about a week but so far so good. I bought the 5700U model. This comes with 4GB of RAM built-in with one available RAM slot. I added a 16GB stick (CT16G4SFRA32A) for a total of 20GB. Performance has been good so far. I havent done much gaming though.
