Attic Tent ATT-at-5 Attic Cover, Silver

> 24 hourWere in north Texas and its not unusual for an attic to get 130+. We installed this at the same time that had a radiant barrier put in and it makes a big difference. I have one of the thermal heat guns and, right now, it is 100 degrees outside (August in Dallas). The attic is 103 but, with the tent zipped up, the laser shows 84 degrees on the bottom (inside-of-house facing) part of the tent. When I then shut the attic door, it measures 77 degrees. This is great for us because the thermostat is right there. Its easy to install also - dont need a contractor or anything, just a nice staple gun.

> 24 hourI simply lined it up around my attic hatch, stapled it in place with 3/8 (10mm) staples. Then used an expanding foam sealant around the inside base to seal it. My thermostat is almost directly below my attic stairs. Previously, it would either run continously, or not at all. I can immediately see an improvement and expect to see lower energy bills as a result.

> 24 hourIt was easy to install but I didnt realize that it needed to be stapled on installation. This is my first year in this garage with a heat pump. The installer warned me that the heat pump would have trouble keeping the temperature above 60 on very cold days. The first really cold day came in mid December and thats when I knew I needed the extra insulation this product provides. Now I need to cover my old (circa 1940s) garage doors and I bet I can keep this garage warm all winter long. That way I can do my woodworking projects in comfort.

> 24 hourI installed this on my 1965 attics pull-down after a home energy assessment showed it was leaking. They told me that this is the number one source of leaks they see in homes. Clean and well made, easy to open/close...I used a staple gun around the edge and silicone sealer around the edges as recommended, as I can tell that even the tiniest path could result in a leak. My results are exactly what are advertised. My upstairs now feels stable and the air is clean feeling, much cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter. The previous owners must have been sending a huge amount of heated/cooled air up into the attic. Not sure why people get so picky about this product...it a simple idea that works. Its pricier because its a good product and works.

> 24 hourI installed this in about an hour (mostly because I caulked every single seam and board) and from having the air conditioner running all day, now it runs only about once. The temperature stays constant all throughout the day after installing this, it truly made a difference like night and day for my energy needs. Definitely paid off.

> 24 hourWant to lower your electric bill pronto? Get this buddy. It is absolutely fantastic and since I live in texas, the attic can seriously get to be 150+ degrees. Considering we have a two story house and our bedrooms are upstairs... it was immediately noticeable at nighttime even when the sun isnt out. I highly recommend this item. Kind of price but Im telling you... its worth it!
