Audio-Technica VM540ML/H Turntable Headshell/Cartridge Combo Kit Red

My wife got this for me for Christmas (on Amazon but separate account) Im coming from a AT 95E and a Shure 97XL. This blows them away!! Once you get this set up (Protractor and tracking force, I use a actual scale due to my counter weight being way off! AT 120 Turntable) This Bird can sing!! Amazing sound! Really brings my records back to life! I listen to Rock (Zeppelin, Beatles, The Doors to AC/DC) Just get this!! Set it up properly (from the factory it really doesnt come aligned so you will have to set it up with a protractor) I have done extensive research on this cartridge/stylus and it way out performs everything in the price range (and more!)

ok, Im just saying, this is how music was meant to be played. money well spent. Dear Lord, This is great!

I like that it came already mounted in a head shell and that it was correctly aligned. The sound quality was a good step up from the atvm95e that was originally fitted to my ATLP120X turntable, and that cartridge is no slouch.

Great upgrade for my AudioTechnica LP-120. Really opened up the range on the new & old vinyl.

I was not satisfied with the sound from myAudio Technica AT-LP120. sound was veiled and distant. After reading many reviews on how to remedy this issue it became apparent that changing the needle cartridge was a must. research led me to the VM540ML/H. Massive difference! The soundstage immediately opened up. Sound is clean without being analytical and instrument separation vastly improved. It is fun to listen and hear things in music I have never heard even though I have listened to them hundreds of times before. Best decision I could have madero upgrade my turntable. In my opinion this is a must buy.

長年愛用していたShure Type 15 IVが壊れてしまったので、その代替として購入しました。 カートリッジはこの上位機種の760SLCやＯ社のＳＰＣーＧなどももっていますが、レコードらしい暖かい表現を求めるならこれでも十分かと思います。そしてこの針に関しては左右の素晴らしいセパレーション能力も持っていて、暖かいながらもメリハリのある音を奏でます。 VM型（MM型）とMCとでときどき論争が起こりMC派の人は一度MCに行くと二度とMMに戻れなくなる、といいますが、MMやVMには独自の魅力があると思います。 ＭＣに行く一歩手前のカートリッジとして自信をもってお勧めできます。

I replaced an ortofone 2M Red with this cartridge and stylus combo. I am not an audiophile but I do thoroughly enjoy listening to my records. In my opinion this cartridge has the best sound I have ever heard coming out of my Audio Technica lp120 turntable. It was amazing to me that I heard sounds coming from my vinyl that I never heard before when using other cartridges. I was a little hesitant because of the price but can honestly say that this was money well spent in my opinion. Really loving my vinyl now more than ever.
