Aurifil A1050-2024 Mako Cotton Thread Solid 50WT 1422Yds White

This was the FIRST time that I had ever used this specific 100% cotton thread on my embroidery machine. I LOVED it. Since it is 100% cotton, I can use it to embroidery designs on hot pads, micro-wave potato pouch, and etc... What I also loved was that the label at the bottom of the spool has a circular perforated area where the spool can sit on the thread holder. I have found having to pierce a hole or cut a hole at the bottom of other brands, a sticky pain, because pieces of paper can stick to my scissors, or whatever metal I decided to use. Not with this specific spool, the perforated label made it so easy, you just push the center paper in with your finger and the spool is ready to sit on the spool holder. Another plus is how easy it is to start the initial unwinding of the thread once the clear wrapper is removed. See attached pics of spool bottom, before I pushed the center in with my finger!

This is the first time Ive used Aurifil thread, and I must say, I will buy this brand from now on. It sews beautifully and has actually improved the stitch quality on my Viking Designer machine, while avoiding my machines temperamental tension issues. I bought it because I needed white and black thread and was having trouble finding my usual brands (you know, those German brands, which Ive always considered good thread) during the mask-making frenzy. Plus, quick delivery and I think a fair price. I recommend the thread and the seller.

Use it for machine quilting.

This thread is fantastic. This is my second spool Ive gotten and I adore this thread. 100% cotton, if youre a quilter then you know that natural fiber threads should be the only way to go. The lint output is minimal and I really mean minimal. Compared to other brands or even Coats & Clark, I can go almost two full weeks of solid sewing before I break out my brushes to clean around my bobbin, tension and foot areas. I am meticulous when it comes to cleaning my machine, after I sent it to get serviced and discovered that the bobbin mechanics were completely full of lint and thats what was causing 100% of my problem. My repairman suggested this thread and Ive never looked back. Good, good thread.

Best for piecing and sewing

This thread is used for piecing quilts. Ive never been disappointed. It is a low-lint product which is good for the sewing machine. Return customer for sure.

This was my first time trying this thread, I watch a lot of YouTube videos with quilters and so I decided to try it I am so happy I absolutely love this thread I cannot go back.

I have an Eversewn Sparrow 30 that is very picky when it comes to threads. Ive tried other brands with limited success. It seems that aurifil thread is perfect for my machine. I use it for regular sewing and quilting and it works perfectly. Produces great strong seams and nice free motion stitches.
