As a 75 inch 8 series 4k Samsung tv owner, this was still very impressive. Granted this is only day 2 and I havent tried its usability for outdoors. It is breathing new life to old movies as i hook it up to my xbox which coincidentally looks similar in design. Lets start with exterior. 3.5/5 It wont turn any heads but I pulled the trigger anyways because the specs to the competition /accompanied by positive reviews seems like one of the better values. To be fair, I dont think the images of it do it justice. It is definitely better in person. Like the subtle details of the glossy white accent contrasting the more matte finish. Also despite specs, it was hard to imagine the scale of it by factory pix. Hopefully, the ps4 controller will help others. I also appreciate the rubberized unique shaped buttons on the unit as well that added to not feeling cheap (as it could have easily been a hard plastic clack to the press) The build feels solid. Video quality 4/5 Just projecting on my wall, it already looks fantastic. It isnt razor sharp to the edge but the fall off is gradual and not distracting. (and from research this is common) Contrast and resolution is solid. The amount of light it is delivering to produce my 100 inch image, I actually even tweaked it down in personal settings. There is a brightness boost feature on the remote too that I turned off (it feels like a minimal but noticeable 5% extra boost) As I was trying to calibrate it to not crush the blacks or blow out the whites. Honestly out of the box it was pretty close to my liking. Im sure you can exaggerate and crank it more but I didnt feel necessary. Daytime use without screen is not ideal. Ill update when i get a screen. Sound. 3/5 It is adequate. It isnt tinny but its not full bodied either. To be safe I am running a portable speaker. I tried it with a bluetooth transmitter and wire to a Bugani m83. Ease of use 5/5 5 minutes of fiddling around is all it took and I read the manual after to see if I missed anything. The interface is dated but functional. Fan noise 3/5 This may have been my biggest concern. Is it like an airplane taking off? How distracting is it? They actually have a settings for noise reduction. i thought it was for pixelation smoothing on low res material. But no. it was for sound of the fan. i didnt see a huge diff even fiddling with it. In my makeshift set up, projector is actually near my head vs on table as some photos show. (as that wouldnt get me as large a picture. And I dont have it mounted to ceiling. because i dont know where i want it yet) But good news is even in this makeshift set up near my head, that if I dont actively listen for it, Its more like white noise. It doesnt bother me at all. Especially if you have the sound of whatever you are watching on, i cant imagine it to be an issue. If you use the extra bright button, the fan does have an uptick of noise. value 5/5 this new screen size has brought the closest thing to being in cinema visual immersion. With coupon this $200 ish price for this much screen with flexible keystone and strong resolution/contrast may be one of the most fun for the buck purchase in some time. Cant wait to see how big i can this image!

I built a new addition to the small house I have, and decided that I had a situation that made for a good home theater / family room. I bought a screen locally (also sold on Amazon) and searched for a projector that met these criteria: 1. Projector distance of about 14.5 ft 2. Projector offset to one side, as well as mounted high near the ceiling 3. Bright enough to work in daytime, hopefully even with some window shades not drawn 4. Good enough definition for presentations. I am not showing big spreadsheets with lots of columns and rows. 5. Able to handle all the inputs I have, BlueRay, broadcast TV tuner/recorder, Android TV Box, Computer, even a VCR. Note that VCR quality is terrible on large screens. I am just using the VCR for archival purposes. 6. Price The WiMiUS Upgrade P28 7200 Lux LED Projector Native 1920x1080 Video Projector fits all those requirements and does it well. I have no doubt that in time, even better projectors will be produced. But this one should last a very long time without a need for replacement. There is fan noise, but once the sound from the movie (or whatever) starts, you dont notice it at all. I have t tried the video boost setting for brightness, which causes the fan to run harder, but I really dont need it or use it normally, not even in daytime. Pictures taken and shown here were taken during daytime, with window shades open to light. The two big windows do not oppose the screen, and the orientaion of the windows is west (the one visible) and north. There are also smaller windows in doors to the east. The remote works great, and aiming at the screen gets the job done. It has a volume control on it, and I really like that. All functions I need for the projector itself are on it. My BlueRay player also works off the screen with the remote, but a DVD player I tried does not, but that is not a projector problem. To get additional HDMI inputs, I did purchase an HDMI switcher with a remote. It also automatically goes to whatever device is turned on. All the wiring is in the wall, including power, just above the handmade shelf the projector rests on. Because I still need to make the patch cords at both ends of the audio cables running down the walls and under the floor, I am temporarily using a thin cord noticeable on the left side. The black pole hanging on the right side of the shelf is used to pull the manual screen down. The wiring was installed in the walls and under the floor during construction. The only issue I had was that the leveling posts (2) do not screw into the threaded inserts on the bottom because apparently the threads are not properly formed. I can fix that later, but for now just used some wooden door trim shims to level the projector. It may be quite awhile before I get to that fix.

My theater projector (Sanyo PLV-Z3) had a second bulb blow in in just a few months. I think its finally dying after 15 years of use. I started looking at a replacement and just didnt want to spend a ton of money. When looking at the different tiers of projectors, I wasnt looking for the best. My eyes are bad and this projector is really only used by us. But what scared me was the fear of these lower priced units not being bright enough. Sanyo was rated at 800 lumens, this was good at the time but is really only for dark rooms. With the new ratings of LUX, the challenge was, what is the equivalent or better? This was hard to determine. I read a lot of articles and watched a few videos on this and the various units out there. Eventually I settled in on this P28 model from WiMiUS. It has a few key features I was after (digital keystone and zoom) and fit the projection throw and screen size I had (16x9 - 108 diag - 134 throw). When the unit came in, I did a quick setup on a ladder, wired it up and gave it a try. What a great experience! The picture was definitely brighter than my Z3. The colors were more vibrant and I was able to watch a show with the curtains open in the room. With my previous projector, it would be all washed out. When Im in theater mode (black-out curtains and minimal to no ambient light) its almost too bright in some scenes. This is without using the added lighting boost. After ceiling mounting it, I was able to quickly set the zoom and keystone (recommendation, zoom smaller than your screen first, set the keystone there. Then zoom out to your screen size and finally make any fine tuning adjustments to the keystone). The focus was easy to achieve and so far has not changed or needed adjustment. And yes, as per some of the reviews, it is a bit soft on the focus on the edges. But for watching movies Ive had no issues. The chevrons on sporting events are also clear and crisp. From a connection standpoint, I route my signals through an AV Amp and HDMI switchers. Ive had no issues so far with this connection method to the P28. Im not using the audio in the projector so I cant speak to that. On the picture quality, Im happy with the colors and the contrast are solid. Dark scenes are displayed much better than I was used to seeing in this room. The whites can be over-powering and over saturated at times. I gave this a 4 for picture for this and for the soft focus. Just didnt give a five because I have seen better --- but that was for 6-times more the price (and talking LED, not DLP which is a different class). Ill play some more with the detailed color modes and settings and may be able to resolve the oversaturation. The one drawback I will point out is the fan noise. My Z3 had a high-light setting that would crank-up the fan. The P28s fan runs at about that level all the time. I tried playing with the noise reduction settings with negligible results. That said, you really only notice it when selecting what to watch and during quiet moments. But this is tolerable and not a major concern to me. Especially for the price. Overall, Im happier than I thought I would be with this purchase.

This WiMius projector performs better than a different projector (undisclosed brand) I own which cost me 10x more! The colors, clarity, and ease of use are excellent. We use this projector almost nightly. The only downside is there is no way to replace the projector bulb. However, although I originally bought this projector about 3 years ago, customer service delighted me by sending me a complete replacement! My projector bulb has started to burn out last year and left me with a growing dark spot. Now I am thrilled with the perfectly working replacement! I am amazed by their great service. Highly recommended!

This project aims high and has a great price point, but has some design flaws that are disappointing. Pros: * True 1080p resolution. * A good array of input options * Audio out jack is good for HDMI video * Very bright * Light weight. Heavy enough to not move around in the wind, but light enough to not be a burden to carry. Cons: * The UX (user experience) is very bad. It took me some time to figure out how to change inputs. * It has built-in video playback from USB stick capabilities, but a very limited selection of supported formats. The UX for playing videos or scrolling through pictures is exceptionally bad. I still have not figured out how to start a slideshow after selecting the photos. * It comes with no manual, so youre left google searching or just hitting buttons until you figure out how it works. * I have not been able to get the entire screen into focus at once. I can get the doughnut of focus with a fuzzy center and fuzzy edges. For movies this isnt too noticeable, but if youre trying to read text or surf the web its a real problem. * Having to completely unscrew the feet and swap them front to back or vice versa to change the angle of the projector is totally ghetto. * You have to be careful with the focus knob, rotate it all the way to the end and the lens can fall out of the track and jam up. I eventually worked it back into the track, but it was touch and go for a few minutes. * No screw mount in the middle to attach to a tripod. It doesnt advertise this, but most projectors include it. Overall for the price its a good projector. I was able to fill up most of a 13x7 screen on a dark night which is downright impressive for a projector at this price point. That said, it has a lot of design elements that remind you that this is a cheap spec-chasing projector. The biggest fault is being unable to get the entire screen into focus at once. Text is obviously fuzzy around the edges and in the middle. Im guessing the properly shaped lens was too expensive and they went with something that was almost but not quite right. The numerous UI issues can be largely ignored if youre only using it as an HDMI sink, but the focus issues limit what its good for. Pretty much just for playing movies or watching TV.

I was looking for a lower cost 1080p native projector to use in a few different ways. (possibly for outdoor movie night during social distancing etc.) I have a high quality Sony projector in the house, and I didnt think it would be that quality. I am using a stand alone 120 screen. The brightness of the projector is decent for the cost. First thing I want to call out. Lumens of an LCD, LDP etc. projector should be measured the same with a sensor across the screen at 9 different locations (this now says it is 1000 ANSI lumens, which seems correct). If the seller is talking about Lumens of the bulb (7000), that is completely different and that is not what they should be measuring. (To put this in comparison, my Sony projector measures at 1,700 lumens and is a good bit brighter.) Overall I think this is a decent Projector but it does have some issues which keep it down. Focus: There are some decent focus issues for this projector. I have attached pictures taken from the left, right and center of the image. The center of the image, when focused is pretty clear, but as you can see, the left and right are not only a little blurry, but they also are smeared and not crisp. This points to an issue with a poor quality lens being used. I am sure this helps to keep costs down. When you are watching a film, this isnt a huge issue, but it is something to keep in mind. Adjustment: When using a projector like this, typically you have some screwable and adjustable legs that allow you to move the projectors front left and right legs up and down to match the screen. This projector doesnt have this feature. There are holes, but if you use the feet attached, it always falls back to the far left corner of the projector as the weight seems to be stored there and makes it lopsided. That then means you have to start stacking items under the projector, and you cant seem to move the image without actually moving the projector. (so you will need a specific correct height table for your application, or ceiling mount. Sound: Sound is louder than on a number of cheaper projectors, but it is still lower quality, and you will most likely want to buy a 1/8 inch cable to wire to a soundbar, or plug in an external speaker system. The Fan: The fan is quite loud. When I was running it inside, it was louder than my high end projector. When I was outside it wasnt as bad, but it is still louder than I expected. Overall, for my use, this will work but needs a bit of fiddling to get it to show on the screen correctly, and realize this doesnt have a super crisp image. For a projector to just bring along that you dont have to worry about, I would put it into consideration. NOTE: This is NOT a 4K projector, it downsides the 4K image (which has 4x as many pixels) to 1920x1080

Ive purchased several projectors over the last few years for work, family, and play and this WiMiUS P28 has the brightest and best picture quality so far. Some of the earlier bargain projectors that I have purchased turned out to be not so much of a bargain as the viewing experience was less than enjoyable as these cheaper projectors were low Lumen projectors that just lacked in picture quality but also sound quality. The projector shipped with the standard accessories including the Power Cord (obviously), 3 in 3 AV Cable, 3 in 1 AV Cable, VGA Cable, HDMI Cable, Lens Cover, Remote, 2 Leveling Feet, and a small cleaning cloth. The projector has multiple inputs and connection options including to 1 USB Input, 1 USB Output (5V), 2 HDMI Inputs, 1 Audio Input, 1 Audio Output (headphone), and 2 IR Receiver locations (front and rear) There are also button controls on the top of the projector and a manual Focus Ring and Keystone Slider over the lens. There is also a ceiling mount area on the bottom of the projector that can be used with for mounting with an accessory ceiling mount. Once unboxed set-up was easy and straight forward and the projector came with all the cables that I needed. After plugging in one of my Amazon Fire Sticks into one of the two HDMI slots I was able navigate thru all the menus easily and make the necessary picture and color adjustments. Then after a quick keystone adjustment and focus adjustment I was able to sit back and enjoy a show on the big screen. With the larger lens and 7000 Lumens brightness I found the viewing image produced to be much brighter than my other projectors with a picture that is sharp and crisp. Also, the vibrant colors and detail that is produced by this projector is far superior than what I have experienced in the past. Helpful Hint: Keystone and focus adjustments will be much easier if you take the time when setting up your projector and get the projector and projection screen aligned as evenly as possible. As for the operation of the projector the compact remote has rubberized function buttons that are well laid out and easy to understand. There is also a multi-direction selector ring to help with navigation. The P28 has IR sensors on both the front and rear of the projector so you are able to control the projector from pretty much any angle. And the on-screen program and menu selections are fairly intuitive easy to navigate. Sound quality is also pretty good when playing and listening to movies/shows through the 2 built-in speakers. However, I definitely recommend that you use a sound bar or hook this to your entertainment center for the best movie watching experience. Overall I am very pleased with the operation and picture/sound quality of this projector. And until some new technology comes out this will most likely be the last projector I buy for quite some time.

This 5 star review is for the 5 star customer service I received from Sally. This is my story: The projector arrived on time and I used it a few times. My family loves it. My kids were so excited that they started planning a family movie night on July 4th long weekend. They made posters; prepared snacks/drinks; sold tickets to me and my wife. We were all looking forward to this family movie night. On July 1st, 3 days before the planned movie night, the focus ring on the projector stopped rotating. Bomber! I contacted Amazon right away. Mike from Amazon said its eligible for free return or exchange, but the replacement would take some days to arrive. That wouldnt fit my familys plan. I sent an email to Wimiuss support in the afternoon and got a reply from Sally in the evening. Sally asked me to send her a video about the problem. I followed her instruction. Thinking it might take some time for Sally to take actions, I ordered another projector so my family could still hold the movie event in case this projector couldnt be fixed on time. Surprisingly, Sally replied my email late night (my time) after she saw the video. She said she scheduled a replacement to be sent to me and it would arrive before my movie night. I trusted her based on her quick response and actions. So I canceled the other order and waited the replacement patiently. The replacement arrived on July 3rd and worked great. I was relieved. The next days movie night went on as planned. My kids hosted the event and we had a great time together. Hooray! I want to thank Sally for her great help. If the first projector I received had worked flawlessly, that would have been even better. However, there is always an exception and this is the time we need good customer service. The great customer service alone results in this 5 star review. Now some observation of the projector itself. 1. The projector is much bigger than I thought. I was expecting a small unit but this one is big. 2. I didnt use any screen. I just used the wall as a screen (of course I removed some paintings from the wall). 3. I used it outside after it gets dark. Exterior wall works fine too - no screen needed (see the picture). 4. The projector has a built in media player. With the USB input, the projector can read and play movies or pictures on my external hard drive connected to the USB input. 5. My Roku stick works great on the HDMI input. 6. The remote control is same size as my Roku remote control, but is thinner making it slippery in my hands. This is my first projector so I have no previous experience to compare with, but overall I am happy with it especially when my whole family have fun with it.
