> 24 hourBought WiMiUS K7 Projector a month ago, and put it in use every night since then. I am very satisfied with the product, which is very bright, even in a daytime, during which videos are very clear and watchable. The only downside is that some of my old Android phones version 7 & 8 are not easily connected to the projector. Maybe there is a compatible issue. But it can be solved by re-booting the phones. No complain about that. Bluetooth also cant remember a paired old device, which needs to be manually connected to projector every time in use. Overall, I am happy to find this projector, and consider to buy a second one for my vacation home.

> 24 hourThis projector boasts exceptional smoothness in its operation. Its high contrast capabilities are particularly noteworthy, as the difference is readily apparent. The unique 6D Auto Keystone Correction feature is especially impressive, allowing for perfect alignment of the screen even on uneven projector surfaces with just one touch. When using a Chrome Cast to play a movie, the connection is automatic and there is no noticeable lag in either audio or video. This makes it easy to play content from a mobile phone. While the speaker in the projector is not as powerful as a 5.1 sound system, it produces decent sound that is sufficient for listening to movies or sounds in a small room. The projector offers excellent projection quality, and its zoom function allows for adjustment based on the size of the room.

> 24 hourThis is a good projector; it is very bright. It is packed with useful features. The speakers are okay but I have it connected to a soundbar for superior sound. Created my own lens cover - the cover wont seal unless the lens is totally retracted. In which case I have to refocus the lens every time I want to watch it. Cons: No direct tint control (can not adjust to create natural skin tones; not a problem for animated content). Some blurring on the edges of the picture. Automated 6D doesnt work at all (followed the instructions). Does not recognize USB memory sticks over a certain amount of gigabytes (my stick holds 60gb).

> 24 hourThe projector was very good and at a very good price, but developed a number of black pixels. Got in touch with customer service and they very quickly provided a replacement. Absolutely great customer service!

> 24 hourTL;DR: 3.5*, RECOMMENDED on sale (with coupon), may be better available at normal/full price. Lost stars for spam email from manufacturer with no unsub link and for defect that developed after five months, but mfr contacted me and has promised to replace it. So questionable quality/longevity but good warranty support. ================================================== Update 3 (3/27/23): Back to 3 stars for now, as manufacturer reached out and offered to replace the projector. Unfortunately, Im not able to do it right now, so it will be potentially several weeks before Im able. Normally, Id wait to update until after the situation is resolve, but its unfair to the manufacturer to hold it against them and keep a poor rating until then. That said, I can at this point, and likely even after replacement, only increase my rating to 3 stars (note that it would have been 4 if not for the spam email mentioned in the first update, so call it 3.5) due to the questionable longevity of the product. While their customer service has been very responsive and helpful, and they have offered to replace it for free (so definitely kudos to them for warranty support, which is very important and often lacking), the products quality is now suspect, and it calls into question if Ill have to get it replaced again in the future, not to mention what happens after the (fortunately fairly long) warranty is up. The manufacturer stated the issue is due to heat, which is strange because a) while I do run it for long periods, the operating environment is generally fairly cool to temperate, and b) it seems like a lens issue, but they state the lenses are glass, so not sure why they would yellow (my guess is its the anti-reflective coating). Anyways, they said it should only be run for three hours at a time, but not only does it not say anything about that in the product description here or in the manual, but that seems like an awfully short duration to be able to use it at a time. Also, my BenQ, which I used quite a bit (admittedly not quite as much, but still it averaged probably several hours a day for several months, and in much hotter ambient temps), never developed such an issue. Will try to remember to update once replaced, though at that point the plan is to relegate it to secondary duty and use the BenQ as primary (or get a new one altogether). ================================================== Update 2: Removed 2 stars due to poor longevity. Ive been using this for ~5 months now, and for the past week or two Ive been noticing degradation. The main issue is there is now a fairly large, roundish (oblong), yellow area vertically center and just right of center thats ~20% of the width and ~17% of the height. Its noticeable on anything but dark backgrounds, and especially noticeable on light/white ones. Its getting increasingly distracting and making it harder to enjoy what Im watching due to constantly seeing it. In addition to this, there are a handful of small, light spots, which at least are only visible up close and not at viewing distances (and therefore may have been there all along). In fairness, for the past ~2-2.5 months Ive left it on almost 24/7 (use it for white noise when sleeping), but Im careful about not leaving static images on it since I discovered it does get image retention (NOT burn in, it does go away after a while, and not a major concern or issue), so if Im not watching something on it for extended periods, Ill either have a black screen on it or a screensaver (black screen with a moving clock). So while its been subject to fairly heavy use, its nothing that should have caused these issues and I estimate its only been running ~3k hours, which is a far cry from the rated 200k hours. And yes, I cleaned the lens, to no effect. Ill have to try their warranty support and see how good that is, but unless theyll do advanced replacement, Im going to have to hold off for a while since I dont have an alternative at the moment. Ill update once I see how that goes. I should also note that I did experience the arc artifact mentioned by another reviewer, though strangely only once, for a split-second in one video (movie or TV show, dont remember what it was). It was just for a few frames, and if I paused on those frames the artifact remained, and it showed every time on those specific frames, but Ive never seen it otherwise, so not sure what thats about. ================================================== Update 1: Docked one star (considered more) due to receiving spam email from the company (Wimius/Honiture). I gave them my email when registering the warranty, and now theyre sending me spam advertising other products. As if that wasnt bad enough, it includes language like Get a vacuum, limited in 10 peoples and If you are interested in this event, please reply to this email within 24 hours and hope to hear from you soon. Let me know if you are interested! There are only 5 places left! and it contains a Word doc attachment, which may be harmless but, considering the potential for that to be used as a malware vector, its concerning, since it may very well contain malware and some people will likely open it. But worst of all, and the reason Im taking the time to update my review because of it, is there is no unsubscribe link included, which is illegal (a violation of the CAN-SPAM act). Fortunately, I never give companies my actual email, and instead use a forwarding service, so I can (and will) just block it to prevent future spam. Unfortunately, this prevents me from reporting them to the FTC so they can be fined, though I encourage everyone else receiving these emails to do so. To Wimius: blatant disregard for the law and harassment of your customers is only going to hurt your reputation, and if even one person goes with another brand as a result of this, thats a lost sale that could have been easily avoided by avoiding such scummy practices. ================================================== Original Review: I wanted to wait to review this until Ive had a chance to extensively test it, and Ive been using it for a few months now with good results. Its a pretty good projector, especially for the price. Theres definitely room for improvement, but Im not sure how much could be improved without also driving the price up. I got it on sale for a significant savings, and for the price I paid, its absolutely a good value. Im not sure if it would be worth the full price, as there might be better ones available at that level, but it had the best specs I could find at the sale price, and it hasnt disappointed. Ive only used a couple other projectors, so I dont have much to compare this to, but it at least gives some reference. One is a BenQ HT2050A which costs significantly more than this, and another a cheap Bauhn projector. Even though this is closer in price to the Bauhn, even at full price, its much closer in performance to the BenQ. Unfortunately, I cant compare it directly to the BenQ, since its been a couple years since Ive used it and it was in a different setting entirely, but Id say this is pretty close to that, whereas its *far* superior to the Bauhn. Heres a quick list of the pros and cons: + Appears to be good quality + Fan filter + Bright + Clear/sharp image (*see more below) + Nice remote with good reception, though sometimes doesnt respond despite the light on the projector blinking, indicating it received the remote signal + HDMI cable is included + Adjustable foot in front center for tilting upward + Digital zoom, plus ability to rotate image in addition to normal keystone adjustments + Wireless casting works well, though took a long time to connect initially + In the few months Ive had it, Ive used it A LOT, and left it running overnight several times, and its still running strong = Colors appear fairly accurate, though not perfect = Decent sound, enough that I can use it to watch most things when I dont really care about it sounding great (loud, clear enough when turned up though far from great, but better than expected for a built-in speaker, sounds like could use some damping since theres some scratchy vibration sounds with certain frequencies, and without that it would be a good bit better) = Included a nice case, though there was already a seam coming apart out of the box. This is a pro if you have use for it but a con if you dont, considering youre paying for it. = Runs a bit warm but shouldnt be an issue. = Buttons on unit for full control of functions with decent layout, though would have been better if ok/center button would turn it on, and buttons are a bit difficult to push = UI is decent but has definite room for improvement - Fan is a bit loud. Nothing crazy but enough youll probably want to be several feet away or use headphones, otherwise youre going to hear it unless you have the volume waaay up. But its not an annoying pitch and personally I end up tuning it out. Theres also a very subtle, barely audible pulsating sound I only hear from certain angles and with my head turned a certain way, so it doesnt interfere with hearing what youre watching, but if its running and theres no other sound, its just a bit odd. - No batteries included for the remote, especially odd considering how much is included otherwise - Seems to be a bit off level, requiring left side to be lifted up some, but this may be because of a less than ideal setup - Noticed some jittering/twinkling of image initially, but havent noticed since - Creates additional 640x480 display on PC - Its not on the manufacturer website and I cant find updates anywhere for any products on the website - No A/V sync and video seems to lag behind audio very slightly, which fortunately can be adjusted in player software - No dedicated sleep button (not a typical feature, but IMO it should be, since sleep is a function youre often going to be using when getting tired and dont feel like navigating through a bunch of menus to enable) - Fluctuating lighting which is very apparent and distracting on camera angle changes as it goes back and forth between brighter and dimmer shots which causes the black bars to go brighter and dimmer. This is something that would typically be controlled by an auto iris or, like with the BenQ, variable brightness. Auto iris is typically only on more expensive projectors, so its no surprise its not on here, but the BenQ seems to do much better with this despite lacking that feature, and I was surprised just how annoying it can be. Fortunately, mostly I dont notice it, but once I do, it takes a while to get myself to stop noticing again. This could be dealt with by using black material where the black bars are, but with varying aspect ratios that can be tricky. Its not significant enough that I wouldnt get this projector if I had it to do all over again, but its worth mentioning. - Possibly overexaggerated color blooming, so similar to the brightness issue, very minor and only rarely noticeable, and Im not even sure if its an issue with the projector, but there have been a couple times that colors just seemed to bloom a bit. Hardly worth mentioning, but want to be thorough. - Typical poorly translated English * My biggest concern with this is in regard to the picture quality, specifically the focus. As I said, it looks very good, but I cannot for the life of me get the entire screen in focus. Its not noticeable when watching videos, but with text, in my case when Im playing a game where theres text at the top and bottom, I can either get the top clear or the bottom clear, but not both. So the text on top or bottom is blurry. Im just using a piece of white fabric stretched across an empty space, i.e. with no backing, between two small walls sticking out from the main wall, so theres rippling in the fabric and the top and bottom are anything but flat, since the top is drooping slightly in the center and the bottom is crumpled a bit, but the section the video is projected on is fairly straight (though still slightly rippled). Of course, I figured that was probably why Im having the focus issue, but I spent a while messing with it, and no matter what I do to the screen or the projector, trying to raise and lower the front and adjust the keystone and focus, I couldnt get it right. I also tried pointing the projector at the ceiling and at a wall, and even then, against a flat, smooth surface, I couldnt get the entire screen in focus. So I strongly suspect theres an issue, probably with the lens, and its just low-quality due to the price, but I cant say for sure. So something to watch out for and make sure to test with text and not just video. Despite there being more cons and a fair amound of things in the middle, it really is a great projector for the price, and most of the cons are minor, whereas the pros are largely the most important things. If youre looking for a projector and dont want to spend several hundred dollars but also want it to be enjoyable to watch, unlike the cheap Bauhn was (low resolution, low brightness, just not very good in general), this is an excellent middle-ground. If youre looking for a high-end home theater experience and are very particular, youre going to have to spend more, but if you just want a big picture that looks good, this projector will work well. One final note: I was not compensated in any way for this review. Im leaving it based solely on my experience and in the hopes it will help others. Hopefully I covered everything, especially since Amazon, in their infinite wisdom, decided to remove comments.

> 24 hourWe have a different projector from this same manufacturer and loved that one. However, let me tell you why I love this one even more than the previous model … 1. Ease. This projector is much easier to set up. 2. Bluetooth capabilities. The only cable you have to use is the power cable. With our previous projector we had to run a power cord, an HDMI cable from the video source to the sound bar, and HDMI cable from the sound bar to the projector. It would take me nearly 30 minutes each time I wanted to do a movie in the backyard. I imagine that as the weather start to warm up and we start to do movie nights again this summer that my setup time will be next to nothing. This is a great feature to this new projector. 3. HDMI. The back of the projector does allow you to plug in two HDMI cables. Please note that both of them are input ports. 4. 3mm. It does have a 3mm output headphone jack. I chose to purchase a Bluetooth transmitter to help boost the sound and shorten the lag in speech that naturally occurs with Bluetooth devices. I was very grateful for the 3mm output jack to allow me the option to use this type of extra device. Please note that the projector doesn’t require or even need an additional transmitter, I chose to do that on my own. 5. USB Ports. There are two USB ports that work wonderfully well. If you don’t have the ability to use the Bluetooth capabilities from your phone or tablet you can put the media you want to show on a usb device and play from that. Super easy and the playback was exceptional. 6. Brightness. The brightness on this projector is amazing. We used it in a room that has a lot of light coming in and yet we can still see the picture. 7. Customer Service. I did have some challenges getting my phone/tablet to connect to the projector. I think the issue had more to do with my router and less to do with the projector. Customer Service went above and beyond what I would consider helpful. Most other companies would have just invited me to return the product and buy something else. This company is committed to helping the customer have a great experience with their product. If you are in the market for a great projector, look no further than this one. You won’t regret your purchase!!! (Note: I would have submitted picture and videos, but they would have looked just like all the other pictures and videos that have been submitted with 5-star ratings - I chose not to inundate the reviews with duplicate type pictures and videos)
