We were skeptical about buying a kotatsu on amazon, but so glad we did! Worth every cent during these cold winter nights. Replaced our coffee table with this and didn’t need an adapter for this specific kotatsu. The table is great quality and we put our own comforter on it for now, will buy a proper futon for it later. Works great.

akuma no kagu 悪魔の家具 – devil furniture or hito wo dame ni suru kagu 人をダメにする家具 – a piece of furniture that ruins man Been living in my kotatsu since winter started and Ill gladly have my soul drained for the time spent in its warm confines. Bought a shikibuton and kakebuton set and meal times and nap times are wonderfully warm and cozy.

I love this kotatsu! Its a great product, and very easy to assemble. The quality of the table is top notch, and I like how smooth it feels to the touch. My only issue is that one of the legs is cracked and there is a hole in the cover containing the heater. I think the damage was caused from shipping, and not the seller. Other than that, I am very pleased with this purchase and would highly recommend.

Ive always wanted a kotatsu and I finally had the funds to get one. Its summer now but I did momentarily try to the heater and it works so well! Its very quiet and was super easy to assemble, no tools required because it comes with everything you need. Its shockingly such a comfortable height to sit at, its nice to have a table so perfectly made for sitting. Wonderful for card games or eating meals at. Also since it was coming from Japan I was afraid it would be too small for my American body but it comfortably fits my friend and I with our legs crossed underneath it!

Its a bit costly considering you still need a voltage converter and theres not even a mat or comforter included with it, so that docked off a star for me. Plus I feel like the legs arent as sturdy as they should be and you have to be really careful about moving the table, otherwise they might come off or get damaged (according to the directions too, its small yet requires two people to safely move). Overall, its very pretty looking and I am enjoying my kotatsu heater during these winter months!

My Japanese wife loved it as her birthday gift. It brought back memories of her childhood falling asleep under it. Which she did the first evening she used it. Safe, comfortable and a great value.

Its the best in the winter! So cozy and comfortable... pretty much everyone wondered why the heck I bought this thing. But Im glad I did for real! I bought a brown Woolrich sherpa blanket to go with it, great combo.

My family is in the New England area so winters get a bit cold. My wife has wanted a kotatsu ever since I described it to her and this one fits perfectly in our living room while having extra room in case of company. Its just high enough that we can sit on cushions and keep our feet under the tabletop, and it keeps us toasty warm.

The instructions are in Japanese but the pictures are plenty informative. Works fine with US outlets, nothing else required. The corner is designed so that the blanket you put under the tabletop will cover it, making the corners safer for people worried about accidentally hitting the corner of the table. I was initially hesitant to purchase this due to the price, but it turns out to be a great quality item.

I cannot express how much I like this table. I dont have central heating in my home, so during these cold months, this is a godsend. The tables plenty large enough for 1 person to lounge underneath with a quilt, assuming youre not over 6 ft tall. It was also very easy to assemble and didnt require any other tools other than the small wrench provided in the packaging. The construction is very simple, yet elegant. A beautiful shade of wood and its very lightweight. The table shipped very quickly, weeks before the estimated date, as a matter of fact. Again, I cannot stress how much I would recommend this table. If you like Japanese furniture or need a warm place to sit while you eat or use your computer or if youre just a weeb like myself who enjoys living that gaijin life, pick you up one of these. In all seriousness, youll definitely get the most bang for your buck with this. Ive seen listings asking for thousands of dollars for practically these same tables. Another thing I would recommend would be a transformer. The power cable I received with my table does fit an American outlet, but I would recommend using a 500w transformer/converter just to be on the safe side. No issues so far after nearly a month of use. Would recommend!
