This blanket is nice and soft. Much lighter than I expected but does keep baby warm on mild winter days!

I would highly recommend- I have 2 of these blankets in different patterns and use them daily. I wouldnt say they are super light, rather a medium weight, which are perfect to wrap babe in while walking outdoors each day as fall temps creep in.
