Just had my baby. Number six for me but number one for my husband he’s afraid to hold the baby pushed me to buy this hopefully this gives both of them more comfort. Have not tried it yet but very excited for the purchase. Never owned one

I used this to hold my kitty when he had to have surgery for a brain tumor. He was functionally blind and terrified so he just needed to be close to me all the time. This thing was a blessing because my arms got really tired otherwise.

    Not the easiest to use

Well before pregnancy and childbirth, I’ve been excited about the experience of carrying my child on my body with fabric because that’s how all my relatives did it and it was so beautiful to me. When I bought this, tied it up and put my baby girl in it, she cried as if I’d hurt her. I took her out almost immediately and attempted again the next day when she was tired. She fussed for a little while but fell asleep within 5 minutes and slept for a record amount of time (she was about 4 weeks old at the time). She no longer fusses when I put her inside (but I usually try to only carry her when she’s tired so I can work while she sleeps. I don’t experience any pain while carrying her at all. She’s currently almost 10 pounds at 6 weeks old. To prevent her head from falling back when she sleeps, I put her cheek to my chest and use one of the shoulder straps to secure her head to my chest before using the front band to cover her body. I’m buying another one so that I can have a rotation going. Highly recommend.

I do not have another wrap or ergonomic carrier to compare this to, but this is a lot more comfortable than the two other carriers that I do have. The material reminds me of yoga pants with a nice stretch to it, but also sturdy enough to comfortably hold heavier or older babies. Rolled up and in the bag that it comes with, it is not much bigger than a pack of baby wipes (photos for size reference). I have the legs tucked in in these photos, but not tucked in was fine as well. I watched a couple of videos on how to wear a baby wrap before I got it, and though there are a bunch of steps, it isn’t rocket science. With a double knot, my 1 year old (20 lbs) felt very secure. With a little readjusting to where the cloth sat after baby was in it, I was able to kind of redistribute the weight to where I wanted it and avoid back pain. Definitely recommended, but if this is your first wrap, make sure to look up videos on how to wear one so that you and baby are comfortable and safe.

It’s durable but can get super hot for mom and baby

Haven’t figured it out for newborns to support her head but the material is amazing. Breathable and soft very stretchy, directions fairly easy to read and understand.

This smelled like mildew when I first opened it. The smell did wash out but still kinda gross. Haven’t had my baby yet so can’t tell about west but it is very long.
