Babys My First Photo Album of Family & Friends

Most of my relatives and all of my in laws live out of town. I was worried that my daughter would be overwhelmed when we had family gatherings because she would just see it as a big group of strangers bothering her. She has some other family pictures to look at in the house, but I needed a baby proof album to bring in the car so that on the way to visit relatives we can look at the people she will be seeing. It is a little hard to get the pictures in but that also means it is hard for her to take them out, so I dont mind. There are plenty of pages and she loves looking at the pictures (so I dont think the wrinkles in the plastic bother her). I have also noticed that she is much less fearful of her grandfathers since we started using this photo album. We have been very happy with this purchase.

This is a great product for toddlers. We have a lot of family that lives out of state so we put their pictures in this book so my daughter would still recognize them. The photos stay in the slots because the pages are slightly tacky but it doesnt leave a residue on the photos when removed. The pictures can be handled easily without being torn or crumpled. There is a slight glare on the pages when viewed from certain angles but it doesnt detract from its usefulness.

Since my <1 yr old was able to rip out pages out of a cheaper photo album we used to hold photos of family members that she doesnt see often, I purchased this because reviews etc deemed it more durable and baby-safe. I am very pleased with the product: My crawling baby will pull this album out often and look through the pictures by herself. The cloth edges and soft cover make it baby-friendly and I can rest easy that I can leave her alone with this album and not worry about her ingesting anything. I would like to purchase additional albums (but not the exact same one, nor ones that are holiday or birthday themed) and tried looking for other albums by Genius Babies that are similar to this one in the number of pages and durability, but didnt find any...

Now I am very happy and satisfied with the product and with GBTs customer service. As a mother and Speech Therapist, I believe this photo album is a great product for our babys language development. Single Words such as mom, dad, grandfather, grandmother.. (Category: family members) We can stimulate our babies during our play time. Use your pictures... I thought that it would be a good addition to our home for baby-to-be due in four months. I think its absolutely adorable and a great way to have the baby enjoy family photos without getting into the nice albums when shes too young to treat them properly. Im going to take someones suggestion from these reviews to just print the photos myself--not because of the toxic chemicals as much as it seems like an easier more baby-friendly way to keep the album updated. I like that the insert spot for the photos is on the inside of the album near the spine to help keep the photos in place. While I dont normally comment about things like chemical smell, this has a pretty strong smell in between the pages, so I think Im going to try and air it out. Ive never had an album stink like this before so Im guessing it has to do with the type of plastic that they use for the pages. The only reason I didnt give this five stars is because the mirror on the last page (which I had really high hopes for) is really a piece of junk. Its a piece of plastic thats you can barely see yourself in, and what you can see is more of a vague outline. When I hear the word mirror, I picture something that allows me to actually see myself to the point of being able to tell my own eye color. This is more like a piece of plastic with mild reflective properties. I definitely think this was false advertising in that regard. However, I like this enough (and the concept enough) that Im not going to return this. I just think that others should be aware of this--and that it would be nice for the manufacturer to either be more accurate with the description or else actually provide something mirrored on the last page. UPDATED 6/6/13: I just received an e-mail from the makers of the Album as well as a comment in response to my review. The mirror is actually a regular mirror! Yay! The customer service department mentioned that there is a film on top of the mirror. I checked and there is. However, buyers should be aware that the film is very solidly attached to the mirror. I had to dig my nail under it (and assume it really was a film with my fingers crossed!) before it started to peel off. So, I take back what I said about the mirror since it works just fine. Maybe the company should add a note that there is a film on the mirror and/or make it easier to take off? It is attached under the seam of the book fabric, so there was no way of knowing otherwise that there was a film attached. I give kudos to the customer service department and the makers of this Album for paying attention to reviews and trying their best to make things right. Customer service counts for a lot in my book and I am upping the star rating from four to five now! Thank you!

I cant say enough good about this photo album! I filled it with family photos for my 18-month-old son and he sleeps with it in his crib, carries it around during the day, and likes to look through it in his car seat. I just purchased a second one so we can keep it in the car and wont forget it when we go run errands. Great product! I only wish the cover wasnt white because it already has a few stains on it.

Such a cute little album book for babies. I bought one for our daughter who is 10 months old. Printed some pictures and inserted them into the album. I was at first afraid that the pictures would be ruined by liquid or by the baby pulling out the pics, but that is not the case at all. This album went through so much with my baby tossing it, spilling, and biting. Still in great shape and the pictures are still great in the album! Very cute and your family members will love it as well.

I purchased this book for my sons first birthday and filled it full of pictures of his cousins grandparents siblings etc. you can put pics on the front and back of the page and there are quite a few pages (10 I think??). The exterior is durable and cute. Overall it has held its form really well. The plastic pages havent gotten crinkled and hes had it for a year and looks at it all the time. The mirror page in the back is terrible quality but its not a big deal. Thinking of buying another book for more pics of friends and playmates. Happy with this purchase!

Great little photo album, very durable! baby and my toddler love the photos of family I put in it and the mirror in the back. I wish the picture on the front was a little cuter....the book we got the baby is totally orange (kinda weird). But maybe newer versions are colored differently. Not a big deal at all though :)

Ive given this album as a gift to my grandchildren and also to friends. This is a particularly nice album since it holds 15 pictures. It is a great way for the child to get to know the names and faces of family members who they do not regularly visit. When preparing an album for a grandchild, I print the name of the person (Grammy, Aunt Kate, etc.) on a 1 x 4 strip of index card and slide it in below the picture so the child learns the spelling of the name as they see the picture. Kids love these albums.
