> 3 dayI mightve given it 5 stars because the quality is top notch, however I just received it & was expecting the hose to have the black cover like the picture, instead its a brownish cover over the hose. I mean its a great hydration reservoir but if the advertisement is misleading then the score will drop. At least put the color description of the hose on it so people know what to expect when they open it up.

> 3 dayGreat product easy to clean and dry. Pricey but with the 2200 pack it’s your only choice if you want to use a reservoir

08-06-2025I’ve had platypus and camelback packs but neither were as good as this one. The camelbacks were difficult (aka impossible) to thoroughly clean. I liked platypus, but they were stiff and one ended up springing a leak. That was after several years of use, though, so no real complaints. But for the price, nothing beats this badlands bladder. It’s very sturdy....,my BF accidentally hooked the hose where it sticks out of the top of my backpack and ended up dragging the whole thing out of the truck. Flipped the bladder upside down inside the pack with the entire weight of the pack being held by the hose. No damage or leaking from the the bladder or plug and play port. Super easy to clean and dry. LOVE the foldover wide open seal for filling and for cleaning. After washing I simply stick an empty soda bottle in the open end and hang it upside down. Dry as a bone by morning. Nice to be able to remove the hose for cleaning, too. The bite valve is easy to use and does not leak, even in the “on” position. I haven’t even found the need to turn it “off”. Like the attached cap to cover the bite valve when in dusting/muddy conditions. I bought the 3L size for those longer treks, but often only fill it 1/3 or 1/2 full for day trips. Very versatile.

> 3 dayDo not leave your water for very long in this reservoir or it tastes like bitter acid! Seems very unhealthy!!! I put water in it and went camping/hunting and about a week later I drank some of the water and it tasted horrible like poison! I assume something leached out of the plastic material into the water and that cannot be good. Functionally it is very sound and well made. Fit in my Badlands backpack perfectly and I think if you use it for very brief outings it would probably be fine but do not use it for extended trips or leave your water in it for long.

> 3 dayI have a badlands hunting pack with a hydration pouch. The pouch doesnt fit normal hydration bladders, it has to be a square shape. This bladder fit perfectly. I have only had it for about a month but so far so good. Build quality looks good. A little pricey compared to most but it is the only one that fits
