If you love words, crossword puzzles, and competition...then Bananagrams is the perfect gift to give and/or receive. I brought it to the beach for a girls weekend retreat and we played until 230a.m. Sent my set of Banagrams home with one friend and then ordered more from Amazon.com! Eight hours of fun and laughter! And we had to get in a few games again, before we headed home. Wonderful for all ages and grandparents can play with their grandkids!

If you like scrabble but cant stand the long wait while the deep thinkers try to find the best word with the most points, then this game is for you. Its a quick game that can be played with several people (2-4, even 1 works). You take 21 letter tiles and everyone begins creating his or her own words which can be changed every time they pick a new letter. This way you dont have to wait and you dont have to worry that your spot will be taken by someone else. You basically create your own scrabble words and try to be the fastest person to do so as this is a quick game. You keep picking tiles one by one until they are all gone and the first person to finish using all their letters is the winner. Be careful though, you will be a rotten banana if you claim to have finished first but one of your words is not in the dictionary. The game comes with a lovely cloth banana-shaped holder that zips closed. I highly recommend this game if you like words and creating words.

Bananagrams is so fun and easy to carry along in an overnight bag. We had many squeals of fun and enjoyment playing! Thank you

Great game. Similar , but much better than Scrabble. Each player is active the whole game (rather than just during their turn.) Each player makes their own word layouts. You can change anything in your layout at any time. Its easy to transport to neighbors, relatives, or when you travel, in a suitcase or purse. Try it. Youll like it.
