We are in California so we dont get alot of rain, but the few drops that we got it did the job.

Its a little smaller than it appears in the pictures. Even so, it still works for my 7yo. Her last umbrella was bigger but it broke pretty fast. Were in the pacific northwest so her umbrella goes to school with her every day and this one is holding up remarkably well so far. Weve had it for a couple months now and it still looks brand new.
