Rather than paying a grand for a large wooden set? We started with 2 sling swings and these brackets! Very strong and sturdy. Well made. Sent my husband to the store for 4- 4×4s and a 12 ft. 4×6. He came back with 6- 8 ft 4x4s. Had to modify but still was very easy to assemble. Just get your wood and seal if needed. Might need to predrilled for the screws to prevent splitting (depending on wood) because we didnt have the cedar wood, I wanted, available to us at the time. Had to have it done before the boys got home. We made due and just keep adding on. They now have a round tree swing, tree house, zip line, and climbing net added for only the cost of the 2 swings, this kit, $60 for the wood, and the cost of some climbing rope...under $200. Including a hammock for me to sit in and watch while they play. Summer fum with my grandsons. Priceless!

This is very heavy duty. Tolerances are very tight. I had to plane the 12 ft 4X6 beam to fit, and also the four 4X4 beams for the legs. All needed about 1/32 on 2 sides to be able to insert. Spraying the ends of the wood with silicone helped also. Once built, was very sturdy . I decided to brace with a 2X4 on each set of legs for extra stability.

My husband was able to do this practically on his own. We got the wood from Home Depot and maybe and hour and a half later if not less we were all swinging. He did have to round the edges a bit to get the posts in the brackets. The brackets were a bit snug, but it didnt delay his work any. It feel really strong and durable. this is something my kids can grow with and we can easily maintain. I was looking online hours for a swing set to get the kids this summer and I just thought we can do this. Im really glad we did.

These made building an a-frame for my porch swing so easy! I did need to sand down the beams a bit in order to fit them into the brackets though and also rubbed them down with some soap to help them slide in easier. Overall, they look great, feel super sturdy and were a simple solution to building a stand for my swing!

Pressure treated lumber commonly available at Lowes / Home Depot may be extremely snug or small fractions of an inch too large since its been recently treated and is swollen. Id recommend definitely getting a rubber mallet or a hammer with a 2x4 to make sure you can bang your lumber into these brackets. I wont take points off review since or clearly recommends kiln-dried lumber in the description, but just wanted to let people know. Otherwise seems like a fine bracket.

Easy to use. Have had the swing set up for a couple months now and its still going strong.

Everything but the 4X6X16 I put in there. I had to use a sledgehammer with a wood buffer to hammer the metal piece onto the wood. Otherwise it’s great!

If you are thinking about building a swing set for the kids buy these brackets, they make it so easy. Here some advice I got from someone who wrote a review earlier ,wait till you get the brackets an take them with you when you buy the wood. I spent 20 min looking for 4x6x10 that the brackets went on easy, less time for the 4x4 and hopefully straight. My son in law did the labor an I was the helper, I handed him bolts and mark lines to put the swing hingens on for three swings. We started putting the set together at 10am and by 11:10 am the grandkid was swinging away and daddy taking picture. having the brackets slide on easy helped, no banging them with a hammer or on the ground. Worth every penny

Good material and coating doesn’t rust so far own it for 4 months and winter time
