I normally buy Shea butter from this company, have been for the past 3 or 4 years. This is the first time using kokum butter. It is not soft and is quite crumbly as I try to scoop it. Disappointed was expecting it to be the consistency of Shea butter. I have eaten this fruit but never used it as a butter but I don’t think this is suppose to be how product comes.

Absolutely love it, it exceeded my expectations. Didn’t realize how moisturizing it is left my skin soft and silky it is made a great body butter. The packaging was great snd the glue was worth it. Will buy agdd as in!

This kokum butter is a great additive to lotion bars. It is a dryer butter, meaning it absorbs more quickly into your skin and leaves a dryer, less greasy feeling. Definitely will be ordering more!!

This product, and frankly, all the products that Ive received from this brand are exceptional!! I use it in lip balm and people say that its healing. I cant market them that way, what a shame! lol

I was so excited to see that this brand now carries kokum butter; I bought some immediately. Its very firm like a halfway between cocoa butter and mango butter. Its crumbly and grainy so my recommended use would be in diy cosmetic where youd melt the butter and mix it with other ingredients. So far i have used it in a lip balm and a body lotion and theyre lovely. However, the texture personally doesnt bother me for use on its own: using a small amount by melting in your hands softens the skin beautifully. All in all its a great butter to add to your collection if youre a die-hard DIYer.

Was worried because some people said it was gritty but not at all. Very smooth and just an extremely faint natural skin/butter smell. Go for it this ones a winner.

I make my own body butters and Kokum is often used in the formulations. I use this along with mango and Shea butter.

Very moisturizing.
