Birmingham Ballistic Nylon Expandable Rollaboard Luggage, Red, Carry-on 21-Inch

The first bag I received was broken. I let them know and a new one was sent next day. My husband used it on our trip to Europe and he was very happy with it. It came none the worse for wear.

It seems okay so far. All I needed it for was light traveling that I am doing around the city; so we will see how the product holds up over time. For the price it is definitely worth it.

So far, so good, but I withheld one star for the moment only because I only took it on one European trip so I dont have a lot of data on its durability yet. Im not too knowledgeable on luggage, but what I found on the internet said that nylon is preferable to polyester for soft sided luggage. Nylon may scuff, but is much less likely to rip than polyester. The other nylon bags of this size I could find seemed to be in the $200 price range. This one was nylon in the $100 price range, the price at which the competition is polyester bags. It also said to look at the denier rating (thickness) of the material, suggesting you look for one in the 500 – 2,000 denier range. This bag is 1680 denier, which is pretty thick on that scale.

Wasn’t quite as big on the inside as I had hoped. I needed something in a hurry as the airline had broken my other suitcase, which in fairness to the airlines was old.

Waited and found a good one.

Its a great size for a road trip or taking a flight.

The suitcase is fine, but it stinks! It has an overwhelming formaldehyde smell mixed with something else. Ive had it for several months and it has been sitting out in the sun, sprayed with Febreeze, etc. It smells a bit better but not much. I havent used the suitcase yet but will in a few weeks and worry about how my clothes will smell. Just hope it functions well.

A new carry on luggage with the room to pack everything! Its great! It is very nice, much nicer details on the outside of the case than I expected for this price. When I opened up the case..ah..the new lining in a grey pattern with little extra pockets for important items. I am so happy to write this review... the companion piece will be able to slide down the sturdy, retractable handle for an easier walk through the airports and hotels. So glad I can use my old luggage for shoes and big coats...

Excellent piece of luggage! Cant believe how much fit inside!
