Product was to difficult to install after finding instructions very bottom of box. Instructions to difficult for me to understand and follow. Value of product reasonable and sheet of foam which seems to be rubber to me has a thick durability.

I like the result, but it was a royal pain to install. Heres a few tips: 1) Lay it out flat, foam side down, put some weights on the ends, and let it sit a day. This avoids the curling problem. 2) Cutting is indeed easy. If you arent sure about the exact fit then cut large. You can trim it later to make it a bit smaller. 3) The tape is the main problem. I ruined the first two pieces I tried to install. Cut a few inches off and play with it to get used to it. If it gets stuck to itself forget it! I seriously doubt that its possible to remove the mat, store it, then reinstall it. The tape would be sticky on both sides. How are you going to store that? 4) Off the reel the tape is sticky on one side. Once applied you will have to remove the binder on the top side. This is no fun since you cant see it! Its transparent just like the tape. As I said above, practice a bit with some short pieces first. This would have been easier if they used a colored backer! 5) I was unwilling to attempt a one-piece install, given the tape problems and the accuracy of the cuts required. So I did a three-piece install instead: left and right panels (full height), then a strip across the top (width of the A/C). This went well for me. The only downside is that there are two very small (1.5 for me) seams where the top strip butts into the panel pieces on either side. Bonus: Using the 3-piece install method left me just enough mat material to do a second A/C. Nice! Would I do it again? Yes, now that I know the tricks. But then Im not planning on storing and reinstalling it.

The product is simply a membrane with tape. You need to measure well, cut straight, go around the edges, and in my case it was not easy. There is nothing wrong with the product itself, but the solution doesn’t work very well overall.

It works like a charm. It’s a heavy barrier and blocks all the drafts and when you block drafts you block BUGS! You have to take your time and measure careful according to the instructions and video. Always cut it slightly larger than what you measure. You don’t mind it being bigger but you DON’T want to make it smaller than you need. The double stick tape is really sticky (as it should be) so peel off a little from one side, stick the peeled portion to the frame of your area, then as you peel down the rest of the strip you press it to the gram as your peeling. It’s the only way to do it easily.

The foam is good, but the glue strips that come with it are terrible. It’s stretches easy when trying to put it down, sticks to its self… a complete mess.

Easy to install but use precise measurements, straight edge, and a sharp razor knife if you want it to look neat. In addition, make sure you have a flat surface on whatever youre covering before mounting/sticking. No five stars because its a little pricey.

First this come in a large sheet which may not be apparent. I found like some others that cutting the side panels first and than the top. The side panels are long enough if you do them this way, if you try to cut the outline of the Air Conditioner the side panels on my A/C unit would not be long enough. Why they spend half of their write-up to show you a way to cut the sheet that is not only complicated but would not work is beyond me... I did cut them, easy to cut, and they look and insulate perfectly. There was a lot left over.

The problem with this system is the 2 sided tape & the lack of grid lines on the back of the material. When you cut it’s going to be uneven & then you put the 2 sided tape on to fill gaps. The tape becomes like gum after you remove both sides & goes everywhere. Next time I’ll buy a yard of vinyl & durable tape!!!
