Just barely installed this ran into the same problem with the adhesive and the next door my screw stopped working even after I double and triple checked everything was still connected correctly. The screen was working the first day I put it on

It took me about three hours to replace the screen on my sons iPad. I had to harvest his old home button because this home button didnt seem to work. The tools were great, but there were no instructions included so I had to look at YouTube for guidance. Which worked for me. Make sure to watch a video for the correct generation of iPad. Unfortunately, the adhesive didnt work well, the screen fell off in about a week. I heated it up after I installed it originally and heated it again when it fell off, but it just wouldnt stay. Ended up taking it into a store to repair it anyway. It was worth trying it. The cost of this screen is far less than a professional install. But disappointed that it didnt work out and I have to pay for a professional screen replacement anyway.

Easy Install

This is not for novice repair-people. I had never replaced a screen before and it took me almost 2 hours but if you have the patience and time the screen and home button works perfect. However, my screen was shattered, this process would be WAY easier for a screen with just a few cracks. I looked up a YouTube video for directions. I had to use a razor blade and a hair dryer or heat gun. I agree with previous posts the adhesive is not strong enough to hold but my iPad is always in a case so that helps it stick together and I don’t even notice. I have another iPad that has a cracked screen that I plan on doing this for and will buy the same screen.

dead spots in the screen after a month finger scan wont work

It seems to be able to stay glued together, it keeps coming apart and my kids complained not being able to operate all parts of the screen, Im sorry never had to give a negative review before.

Spent at least 3 hours trying to take off and put back on to make sure everything was connected right. The touch screen has dead spots and is completely unresponsive at times.
