Was originally looking for a display case that had a felt bottom but it was costly. So I saw this and got a regular car to put it in which actually turned out better and the item in the case didnt shift around nor damaging it.

Ok, this doesnt change my life or anything but it delivered exactly what I needed. I used it to line the interior of a cardboard box to achieve a dark, non-reflective environment so dimly lighted displays could be seen in the daylight or with bright ambient lighting. The adhesive sticks very well but not so much that if you make a misalignment that you cant start over (whew). It is not deep/thick, plush or lush, but it does give the appearance of being so. So it looks like something you would spend a lot more on but remains very affordable. Thats a win in my book! Its also very easy to cut and trim which is what a product like this needs to be. I was able to easily cut and trim it to correct my measurement errors. And if your are patient, and careful, you can piece together your leftover swatches and make the seams nearly invisible (I knew they were there, otherwise I might have believed it was a complete piece). It transformed mere pieces of cardboard into something that looks like it could hold museum quality pieces or expensive jewelry. It looks fantastic and is a real light sponge that makes my lit display items really POP! My project was intended to be a prototype but Im so happy with the results that Im going to put it to work! I WILL order more for additional projects.

Good price for this product

I am using this to line an old gutted out music box for a gun box. In the picture the bottom and foam cushion isnt in yet so use your imagination lol. I have grooves in the front and back walls that a glass lid will attach on to so I had to work with this. Ok about the product. It is fantastic to work with! feels real nice velvety. Not real thick but thick enough to cover what youre lining. This stuff is very forgiving! I am kind of a perfectionist so it matters to me that you can pull it back up a couple of times, (more like 7 times) to get it where you want it and it will still stick. I seriously thought Id have to cut another piece because of it but I didnt, it stuck just fine. Does it get wrinkles? Yep, when you pull it up that many times it does, but is easily solved, just pull it back up to the wrinkle and smooth it back down. If I ever have to line anything again I will be using this product.

This velvet works well. I used it as backdrop for jewelry video. Just be aware that it is not VERY dark when under lights.
