Having this Blingsting Mini Personal Safety Alarm on my keychain makes me feel more confident when traveling and walking around in crowds. It is comforting to know that if I ever feel unsafe or threatened that I can easily activate it to hopefully frighten off any attacker and call attention to my situation. Its one of those things you hope you never have to use but are appreciative of its value just knowing it is there.

Wow, this device is small but super loud which makes it great! It is very easy to use. I have pepper spray too but I always worry about not being able to activate in an emergency or ending up spraying myself. So for me this is perfect! I also like that it is so small and has the minimal look. It makes it easy to use this as a keychain and carry it around. I don’t really use the light feature but good to know it is there. I would highly recommend this. I will get one for every woman in my family.

This is extremely loud and in fact ear piercing!! Very easy to use, alarm button is a smaller button on top. Got this for my wife for safety, it will definitely scare away any attacker. Has a led light that isn’t very good, but it’s the best compact alarm I have hear so far!!

I had my doubts, BUT, this little keychain is louder then originally thought. I pushed button three times. For about 20-30 seconds…it is loud enough to have given me a headache. I left it on, walked outside and can hear the siren at the street! The BIG button on the keychain is NOT the button that makes the sound. It is a smaller button on the side. Good or bad? I don’t know. I guess it’s a matter of opinion. It didn’t matter to me. It just guarantees I wouldn’t accidentally lean something on the keychain and sound the alarm!

This thing packs a punch to the ears. Great little device to clip onto my purse. I like how the button is created in such a way that I don’t accidentally press it, but its also easy enough to press. Every lady should have one- perhaps even kids if they’re responsible & old enough to understand that’s to be used in an emergency.

The alarm yet, only the flashlight and it could be brighter. I live in a complex and can’t set off alarms but I’ll go to a park and test it out. Once I do this review will be updated.

I have purchased a few personal safety devices over the years for my daughter. She used them during college on campus and on distant co-op assignments. I thought that this device would be good for my wife to carry. It is very loud, thats for sure. The unit itself is quite small and seemingly rugged. It is not waterproof or even very water resistant. I ran it briefly under running tap water and it had seepage inside the battery compartment. It has an LED light that is button activated and stays on as long as you hold the button. It is good enough to see a key slot or inside a purse, but thats about it. It is very weak. The alarm activation is by a button on the bottom of the case. The button is 2cm by 7mm. It seems rather small and narrow. It is activated by a fingertip press and stays active until is is pressed again. However, this alarm could be easily deactivated by a persistent perpetrator who can simply press the button to turn it off. Also, I believe that this button will be difficult to activate if the user is wearing any type of gloves as it will be very hard to feel either the alarm button or the flashlight button. The site advertisement is somewhat misleading in that it has a pink line pointing to a large round element on the front of the alarm. This is not the Panic Button as stated in the ad. This part of the alarm is the speaker where the alarm sounds from. The actual panic activation button is on the bottom (see photo with this review) and is much smaller. While any personal protection device is better than none, I prefer the type that I got my daughter which is a grenade style alarm that goes off when the pin is pulled and cannot be deactivated until the pin is replaced. In an attack, is is easy to pull the pin (often attached by the pin to a keychain connector. Or, to pull the entire device off the keychain, at which point it automatically activates. Both types of devices have a certain risk of accidental activation, but my daughter never experienced that. Good luck!

Honestly, I like the fact that it’s so discreet and very very loud. I often travel alone and this alarm adds that extra touch of security
