I use this inside of my filter socks and it does a great job at keeping my water polished and clean looking. I change out the socks every 3 days and it definitely helps with nutrient control.

Not too bad for the price compared to chain pet stores. I use this in my canister filters. I put this on the second stage with together with the aqua flo pond and aquarium filter media pink/white. So far so good. Water clarity is noticeably clearer that before.

I am trying to save a neglected freshwater tank at work. Im very slowly bringing it around, this helps. Its good on the budget and I can rinse this, while keeping some good bacteria.

I love using this filter fiber instead of filter cartridges. People new to the hobby: buy these packages instead!! Filter cartridges aren’t the best to use because you have to throw the whole cartridge away once the activated carbon isn’t working anymore. Just rip off a few chunks of this and buy those small carbon bags if you need them, because they aren’t really a necessity! That way you can swap out filter fiber as it gets dirty, without taking all of it out and throwing it away. Beneficial bacteria live in the filter, and so you don’t want to ever take out all the media at once!!

I love that Amazon inquired as to whether this is easy to clean. You dont clean this stuff. When youre changing out the aquarium filter media, you toss it. Easy to use, and reasonably priced.

Bag of filter floss..im using this in place of my old media in a nano reef tank. I like it alot more. Cheaper and easier

I stuff it into the back of my biofilter, it removes all the tiny particles that cloud the water. Crystal clear water in no time. Plus, it has the added benefit of adding an extra growth medium for beneficial bacteria. Ive got it in 4 chambers and only change one chamber each week as not to disturb the beneficial bacteria too much. Works like a charm.

It is the only fiber I can get for my fishtank!
