> 3 dayThis heating pad is a life saver. I had to leave my dog in the garage while I was gone. I had to bug bomb my house in the middle of winter. The wire is protected inside a conduit which feels like a flexible metal tubing wrapped with rubber of sorts. They claim chew proof though my dog is trained and would never chew on it. The best part of this was the thin control pad that fit through hole of my large dogs crate. I left him with food, treat, water and some toys. We tuned the heater on in the garage and crank this this pad to 3 and left for about an hour to hour half. My came back home and my dog was happy. He wasnt cold and freezing. I took the dog out and put my hand on the pad to feel the heat it seemed to be centralized in a particular area. Im not sure if the pad knows where the dog lies or if it is just in the area but it works well. My dog definitely liked it.

> 3 dayThis isnt instant heat like a blanket that most people are used to. It provides a gentle heat, enough to take the chill off and gives your pet a warm place to lay without the possibility of overheating them. I like the protected cord but it is short so this will need to be placed close to an outlet. I have some outside outlets and can use this inside my dog houses for cold weather. This would work inside as well if you have an older animal that has bad joints or just would like a warmer place to lay.

> 3 dayToo funny, between our dog and cat neither want to share. Animals are funny critters and when they are on something all warm and comfy it is first come gets it. Highly recommend for having this for your critter. So far have not had any need for a chew resistant cord, but if used for a puppy would be beneficial.

> 3 dayWe occasionally need to leave our dog out garage we’re not gonna be home for a while (she has access to the outside). When I plug this in I almost always find her and the cat on it when we get home. We place it on the bed such that out pets can decide whether they want to lay on it completely, halfway, or not at all. Works perfectly and was exactly as described. Seller shipped very quickly!

> 3 dayThis is a very nice heating pad. My mini dachshund loves to sleep on it. It is of good quality and the size is easily large enough for medium sized dogs. My tabby cat also loves to snooze on it. The cord is well protected and the number of heat control levels and timer settings are very nice features. The cover is very soft. Recommend!

> 3 dayMy dog fell in love with this heated pad! I have others for my cats but they have to have the timer adjusted daily. This one you can have it on for various hours or always on. I will have this one on the “always “ function at 104 degrees. There are various degrees you can use. My vet suggested 110 degrees or lower. I also like the stainless steel cord to deter your pet from chewing and keep your pet safe. This pad is a really great value and I highly recommend.

> 3 dayI got this to use on the footrest in my living room, for my spoiled cat. He loves laying on the heating pad on my bed, I figured he’d enjoy this. And it would be nice for anyone who puts their feet up on there. Win win. It has a very long cord, which is nice, and it’s wrapped in a very sturdy material that I feel would be chew proof. It’s a nice size, too. I thought it would be fabric, like the one in my room, but it’s a plastic heating pad covered with a felt/velvet cover. So it’s not quite as comfortable to lay on. But if it’s strictly for pet use, then that would be fine. I’m guessing it needs to be plastic covered to help keep the wires from getting wet in case of the animal urinating on it. The control box is very nice, has six heat settings and four timer options, going up as far as 24 hours. I tried this out first on heat level four, and it didn’t get very warm. It took a long time to heat up, and most of the heat seemed to be on one end of the pad. I bumped it up to level six, and it got a bit warmer, but even on high it’s still just a low warmth. Which may be good to pet use. I’m probably just used to my own pad, which gets really hot. If low warmth is what you’re looking for then this is the pad for your needs. All the features are great for pets. My cat does seem to appreciate it. So for animals, recommended.

> 3 daySo far so good... I think. The cat was already a sloth, lethargic and lazy, so I cant really tell if it likes it or is just following her normal routine of laying in one spot all day. The only time the cat comes down from her nest is to eat and crap. It is a clinically obese critter that more resembles a greasy hair ball, maybe now she will just melt.

Greater than one weekThis pet heating pad is plush and has a few bonus features. The settings include a timer and a feature that allows it to stay on all of the time which is harder to find. The plush cover is removable and can be washed. It took a little while for it to warm up but once it does it seems to stay pretty consistent. It doesnt get as warm as a human heating pad or anything - which is probably good since it is intended for pets. The wrapped cord is a safety feature that should be included in all pet mats not just so they are outdoor safe but to prevent electrocution if they were to chew. This is a great mat.

> 3 dayThis heating mat has a nice silky soft removable cover. It heats up fairy quickly and has four different timer settings with six different temperature settings. The power cord is covered to prevent chewing on it. I got it for my cat to sit on the back of the couch but it is large enough for a larger medium sized dog! The cover has a zipper at one end and is easy to remove for washing.
