> 24 hour-Initial quality perception is on par from what Ive seen at big box stores (3M etc), if not better -The frame itself seems pretty solid / sturdy -I really like that they are made in the US and advertised as such -They are very reasonably priced. The 3M ones Ive seen at the store are usually around $20 each. -I also like that the listing specifies it does not drop pressure much and avoids wear on the furnace. I dont have a way of verifying this, but its always been a concern of mine, so the fact that it is called out specifically is great to ease that concern. Ive been reluctant to get the higher MERV ratings, so if this is true, I would buy this brand more often so that I can benefit from the best filtration without worrying about damaging my furnace.

> 24 hourI ended up replacing these with more typical filters because the airflow resistance of the very fine material was so strong that my AC return made an annoying whistling noise. The problem with extremely fine filter material like this is that most AC systems are not built to tolerances that ensure the only air comes through the filter. So if you increase the resistance of airflow through the filter, any openings in the air duct - sections that arent perfectly sealed, or flexible ducts that have gotten nicked during installation or *shudder* cleaning, airs going to enter there. And that air is going to come with whatever material is floating around in your walls and ceilings, which might include insulation material, abundant dust, or whatever else works its way into the house. If your application is something like a portable AC unit or a truly sealed system, these are great. (just remember to change them, because yeah, they DO pick everything up!) For use in a typical residential system, I would say they have more downside than benefit, including the higher cost and more frequent need for replacement.

> 24 hourThese are great to double up on a box fan to act as air purifier in the room. Doesn’t impede the fan much.
