It didn’t last very long at all. It wasn’t chewed at all, the hook snapped whilst my rat was sitting on it! After thinking it might be a fluke, the same thing happened with the second one. No chew marks, only very very sensitive snapped metal. It’s a waste of money given it only lasted with gentle use for 1 week and 2 weeks respectively. It’s also very hard to clean if they “go” inside of it. Even in a washer, the poops remain stuck. Another thing! Please do NOT get these for your Guinea Pigs! Their backs can NOT HANDLE A HAMMOCK! Especially one like this! I have piggies as well and it broke my heart that these are being advertised for them. You’re better off making your own hammocks if you can sew, or buying them from another site. Maybe support a small business that makes them specifically for your animal!

Very soft and wash well but my girls won’t climb up into them so we use them as blankets and just set them in the bottom of the cage where they sleep. They have help up really well after many washes. Straps should be made of a material rats are not able to easily chew through. I had one poor guy loose his leg when he or a co-sibling chewed a hole in the fleece that caught the lower part of his leg inside. In his struggle to get free I assume he twisted his body several times making the fleece strangle his blood supply and he list the entire lower part of that leg

I put the guinea pig in it and he loves it but it hangs too high he can’t get in it by himself. It’s very soft and my guinea pig laid in it for a long time but I’m going to put something on it to make it hang lower but it could just be the height of the cage I have it hung to
