BOB KIDS Brush On Mineral Powder Sunscreen Broad Spectrum, Easy to Apply for Kids and Babies, SPF 30

I really like this sunscreen for my 1 year old son who has extremely sensitive skin and lots of eczema. It is so easy to put on with the brush and doesnt stick. It is completely mess free and quick to put on. Most importantly it provides good protection against the sun. Very practical product for young kids. I even started using it for myself, because I dont like to have sticky fingers from applying sunscreen.

Extremely difficult to apply. Especially while using on small kids or babies, it just defeats its purpose. Because it’s so difficult to dispense the product, it’s hard to actually know whether you are applying enough or not, or if you’re applying anything at all for that matter. Still I think it’s a great idea and the product itself is not bad, but the application process is just not right.

I like the idea but its really hard for me to get the product out of the tube and into the bristles. It took forever. The plus side is that is has a tint to it so I could tell where it was and where it wasnt in her hair. Still needed to use regular sunscreen to be sure though which defeated the purpose.

Pro: .easy to apply especially to kids faces .small enough to fit in a diaper bag or purse .power is great to apply over makeup and on your part Con: .a little difficult to figure out how to get the dust into the brush .not confident on coverage .a bit pricey

The powder did not really come it of the bottle, so I cannot comment on the efficacy. The brush felt very soft and was a nice quality. I’m hoping this issue was just with my bottle.

Good: - Easy to use once you figure out the unlock mechanism and how to shake it to get the product. Its not difficult, just something you have to get used to - No heavy lotion, which means I use it more often, it easily travels and can go into a pocket without risk of spraying or squirting, etc. - Nice, soft brush Bad: - Expensive. It really doesnt take very long to go through one of these containers if you use this as regularly as you should, even if only used on the face. At $26 each, it adds up SUPER fast. Ive purchased other brands/similar items that I personally dont feel work much better or worse for 1/4 the price. - Not refillable. This is a nice container that the company is pretty much charging you $10 for that has to be tossed each time you buy it. Confusing: - I wish I understood the products from this company & the packaging BEFORE I bought this product. I think this powder formula might be the same as the adult translucent, but the difference being that this package is locked and meant to be single use vs. the adult version that is $8 more, but refillable. My math sorts out that the powder refill is sold for $16, so the powder is worth about $16, the disposable kids container is about $10 of the cost while the reusable adult container is about $18. If you have or can buy a refillable powder brush for $18 or less, I would go that route and just buy the powder refills (which, ideally should also come in some different sized bulk containers if youre giving someone an option to subscribe to refills. If you have multiple kids and take this on a vacation, you could easily use it up in a week.) If you want to have the branded container and think youll be using something like this longer term and are going to apply the product to the kids or they are old enough to use such an item that can open, go for the adult product. If you dont know if youll like this product, this is the cheaper way to try it, but if you think you will like it, go for the adult one with the refills (or use your own brush and just buy the refills or do some research on other companies) and save yourself a (little) money and piece of mind about the waste created.

I really like this product!! I needed a sunscreen that I could use on my face first thing in the morning, that wouldnt cause any zits and that wouldnt affect the moisturizer that I use..... and this is it!! I wish it came in a larger size, but thats the only drawback. Im ordering more very soon!!

I’m not sure about this product because I don’t even know if it’s coating the face of my little one. The only good thing about this is the easy application but I don’t think I would trust it the way I would the cream ones. You just don’t know if you’ve applied enough already or should you keep going you know.

Easy to apply to wiggly kids but I don’t know exactly how effective it is yet in our hot and humid climate with sweat and splashing and also I’m disappointed by the condition it arrived in for the price. The box was a hit smushed and there was powder inside the box and all over the tube. So we have lost some product and it’s not cheap! Will keep using it and see if it’s worth the price and hope that if we ever order more it will not have spilled en route.
