The cooling fan works great but the only problem is the tools that it comes with the tools were eather to big or to small thats the only downside

Microsoft’s service fee on an out-of-warranty Series X is $299. This cost about one-tenth that and took about 5 minutes; the hardest part was removing the tape that covers up the screws on the back. No instructions, but I found a YouTube video that walked me through the whole process.

This fan was exactly what I needed since the original fan stopped working and the Xbox shut down. It is easy to install, youtube replacement of xbox series x fan. The fan does its job with a little noise. My wife says she can hear it in other room but I can barely here it sitting right next to it. Its a light high pitch sound, like a mouse is inside the Xbox. Im very satisfied with this fan and definitely recommend.

Great fan! You will want to buy your own set of screwdrivers though and make sure they are longer. These screwdrivers were too short. But the fan is working amazing!

The fan is functioning fine and went in the console no problem.. the t8 and t10 screwdrivers they send with it are way off, save some money and get a fan that doesn’t come with faulty tools

The fan was a perfect fit and quite when running. The small tool worked well to get the Xbox cover off, but the middle screw of the fan was very tight and the tool was too small to loosen it. I ended up trying my own tools and the screw was so tight it ended up stripping. I couldnt even get a good enough grip with pliers to loosen after it was stripped. I ended up prying the screw off. All of the other screws came out fine except for that middle one. Im glad the fan doesnt rattle since I reconnected it without that big middle screw. Happy I saved $300 from not going to Microsoft support.

Was very skeptical about opening our series X but it was also very obvious that the overheating warning I was getting was caused by the fan dying and not some internal software or hardware issue. Highly recommend this part, could only find it one other place and it was twice the cost. Easy to Install, and it is the EXACT same as the part that comes with the xbox. Overall, my xbox was out of warranty so I didnt care about opening it up (reminder, once you open it your warranty is automatically void so just be careful if you do that). Once I got the specialty screws off, it was a VERY easy replacement and it immediately worked. So far have over 10+ hours of playing over several days and the fan is so quiet sometimes you cant even hear it.

It fits and works perfect so far. The tools are hard to break loose the screws, but i had my own tools. This is not the oem part but basically the same exact thing. U have to take the fan case off the old fan and put on this fan, you want to keep the one thats in there because it has masterchief etched on it. (Thats why they dont send you a fan already in a case). However this fan is just as quiet as the original so far. I have had it for about a week and its been great.

Microsoft wanted 299 to repair a bad fan. This was an easy install. Works great. As quiet as the original. Have a good 50 hours of play since repair and no issues.
