The bookcase came out like the pictures in the product description. It ended up fitting a lot of books and multiple funko pop and other memorabilia. The assembly instructions are easy to follow and it can be completed in one sitting easy.

___ The Good: ___ * Tall and sturdy. * A good size to fit in many of our corners * Looks good once assembled * Closed back prevents things from rolling behind, but open sides allow us to put a multicharger station on the middle shelf without having to drill holes or tape cords. ___ The Bad: ____ * I followed the assembly instructions step by step. Which is why I had to take it apart and redo it three quarters of the way through. The first step fails to mention that the metal sides of the shelves are meant to fit together only one of the two possible ways. This is necessary for the later step where you screw the backpanels into the holes. This could have been easily mitigated by any of the following: specifying holes on same side in the instruction; drilling holes in both sides of the metal; placing front stickers on all four of the relevant pieces; or a small physical change to how the poles interlock. * At $150,tThe price is questionable, but they tend to run sales and coupons, so this varies a bit. * My wife was upset at how difficult is was to remove the parts designation stickers without leaving residue. I was still fuming about having to redo so much of the assembly over lack of front stickers, so I dismissed her complaint, but for this sort of price tag, aesthetics are important

I am by no means skilled at assembling furniture, but I was able to put this together by myself with the use of a drill and an Allen wrench for tight spots. Instructions were easy to follow, all pieces were accounted for and individually wrapped and labeled, both for their protection and ease of identification. I laid all pieces out before beginning assembly. I noticed no defects in either the wood shelves or the metal sides. The bookshelf is sturdy but came with hardware to fix it to the wall to ensure it doesnt tip over. All shelves are evenly spaced apart and holes are pre-drilled. I put the heaviest items, my kids books, on the bottom half and filled the top with decor to add to the overall stability and I love how it turned out. It is just what our family room needed to look complete. Very fairly priced for a beautiful piece of solidly-built furniture. 5/5

This shelf was going together so quickly, and then I hit a couple of snags. There were only five instead of the required six post caps so I left one of the back posts uncapped. The front posts of the upper half have plastic pieces to insert into the bottom with threads to accept a bolt that tightens those posts against the shelf they stand on. One went in smoothly. The other one would not go in more than 1/4. I tried pounding it in with a mallet. No go. I thought maybe the post was out of round. I took the other one out and tried it in the post that was not accepting. It went in smoothly. How do extruded plastic parts come out different? Somehow they did. I had to sand down the one that wouldnt go until it would fit. All that effort was worth it. I like the looks of this shelf and the strength of the steel frame. Its been a long time since I had a bookshelf with a back on it. Way too many times I have had to move out a shelf to get behind it for something that fell off the back. The hollow posts reduce the weight enough that I can move it easily to the spot in my office where it will stand once I can make room for it. I love it.

Save yourself some frustration. Slow down a bit and pay attention to how you’re assembling it. I joined the first two sides together wrong, took them apart, put them back together correctly, then told myself I wouldn’t do that again. Then I did it again with the second pair of sides. Other than the ones I caused myself, the only problem I had was with the back panels which were a little too big making it difficult to install because of how tight they were to each other. The assembled product is both sturdy and stable. It looks nice too. All the tools and hardware were included and there was even extra hardware in case you lose some. It is probably overpriced at $150 but right now there is a $40 coupon and that make is a good deal. I would recommend this product but am deducting a star for the sloppy back panels.

I use this shelf in my massage room. I like the backing to help keep oil splashes from getting on the wall. The design is clean and the shelves hold everything I need close by. Well made, easy to put together. Lightweight, buy strong. May have to get some for my home!

This is a beautiful and modern bookcase in my opinion. The finish is exactly what I had imagined. As stated in the product description, it does indeed come with all the tools and accessories labeled to make the installation a breeze. It didnt take me long to assemble. I really like the steel frame and its design of this bookcase, because it gives a high level of stability and support. Each shelf can support up to 70 lbs, which is quite strong for a bookcase. I think the open design really gives this bookcase a modern look. So much so that it would make for an excellent display case as well. I just wish that it also has built-in lighting at the top shelf. This bookcase would accentuate any living space in my opinion. However, its a little pricey but the transformation it gives could be priceless.

Ive rarely met a bookcase I didnt like, and I love this one. Its made of manufactured wood, and the sides are made of metal in an X-frame to make it sturdier and more attractive. The shelves are 12.48 tall, which gives you plenty of room to shelve your books, office supplies, knickknacks, or whatever you want to put on the shelves. This is an attractive, well made piece of furniture that adds something special to your room because of its metal sides, height, and all the space in this bookcase. It measures 11.81D x 23.62W x 71.06H and is pretty heavy at 45.1 pounds. I knew I couldnt put this together well enough to make me feel it was done right and was safe, so my poor, tired neighbor assembled this for me. I put mine in my office, and I used one shelf for office supplies, which cleared up a big mess on my desk, the top shelf for faux cactus plants, and the rest for books. This was pretty easy for my neighbor to assemble, but it would have taken me a while. I have no mechanical or carpentry skills, and I cant always see well close up, so I figured Id get professional help on this one. He didnt have any problems. He used my electric screwdriver to put this together. I have hardwood floors, so I feel the bookcase is pretty stable, but I did put it in a spot where it has something in front of it and wont hit the floor if it falls. My dog likes to nap right in front of where I put it, so I wanted to be sure he is always safe. Im one of those people who worries about everything, though, so you might take my advice on that with a grain of salt. The bookcase is very attractive and is a wonderful addition to my office. I had one spot in this room where I could fit another bookcase, and this one fit right in that spot. Its well made because of the iron sides, but the back and shelves are just manufactured wood, and a couple of my shelves are already bowing a little bit. I guess Ill put lighter books on those shelves. Excellent product, a beautiful, sturdy 70 tall bookcase with metal X-frames on either side, which are cool and also make it sturdy. The rest of the bookcase is made with MDF wood. Its fairly easy to assemble if you know what youre doing; I dont, so my neighbor put this together for me, and it didnt take him very long. This is a 11.81D x 23.62W x 71.06H bookcase that adds a lot to a room and gives me six shelves for books, office supplies, computer stuff, and anything else I can think about for it. This is a very nice piece of furniture, and I highly recommend this bookcase.

This may be a bookshelf, but I seldom use them for books...I use them to exhibit designer bags, figurine collections, etc. This unit is easy to assemble. The shelving unit dimensions are 11.71 x 23.62 x 70.94 and 12.48 between shelves makes them perfect for many purposes. Not hard to assemble and sturdy enough for most household uses. Would recommend anchoring to the wall since its somewhat narrow.
