Boomerang® Tire Tread Armpad™ for Jeep Wrangler JK (2007-2010) - Center Console Armrest Cover

The pad looks and feels great in my jeep, but i had to go the the hardware store to get the hardware that was supposed to be included and was forgotten. On top of the 3m doublesided tape, it is supposed to come with a star bit and 4 screws and washers, and i only received the pad itself with the tape already applied.

This cover is top-notch. Install iterally took 2 minutes - simple as taking 4 screws out, slipping it onto the console ad reinstalling 4 screws. The fit is perfect - i think the person complaining that it interfered with opening theconsole may have put it on backwards. I did not even bother to utliize the adhesive, as it fits tightly as it is and does not slide around. It does add about an inch of height and is soft enough to be comfortable - Id say it is almost the firmness of a wrestling mat. Only complaint is that it could cost about half of what it does - but I do like it a lot.

I bought this console cover because my GSD who rides everywhere with me everywhere likes to stand on the console and scratched the original console up. This cover not only looks good and has covered the scratches my dog made, it has withstood his claw abuse for the last year and has not been scratched at all. I would definitely recommend this product. Its easy to install and just slips right now. It did come w screws, but I opted not to use those and it stays in place perfectly and has never slipped.

I read the other reviews but didnt think much of it, want this armrest mainly for looks. When i received the product i was surprised that it was better than i expected. The material is a rubber like texture, like youd see on a raised nonskid pad. The armrest raises over an inch from stock height, making it more comfortable. Only draw-back is that i wish there was a better way to install it. Comes with larger screws that go into a stock place on the console armrest, but holds well and has nylon spacers so the screws shouldnt pull through the rubber, but if you tighten it too much it still will. Otherwise great product.

Nice change from the stock console. Matches well with the black seat covers Ive recently installed. Appears to be very well made. Easy to install. My dog will have much better traction now going from back to front!
