Ive had this laptop stand for about 6 months now. I use it on my desk, so it doesnt get moved around or adjusted very often. In the long run its hard to say how durable the friction fitted parts are, but I havent seen them slip at all under the weight of the laptop even on a wobbly surface. Its pretty beefy and wont bend or deform under normal use. As to the claim that the aluminum acts as a heat sink, I doubt youll notice any difference in your cooling. In my case, the hole in the center of the tray did not line up with the air intakes on my laptop, so I was seeing similar temps to what I saw when the computer was just sat flat on the table. That being said, after the judicious application of a 1/4 drill bit to add some custom speed holes, my laptop is having a moderately easier time keeping cool.

This has been a game changer for me in my home office. No more looking down and sitting forward to see my laptop screen. (My neck and shoulders thanks me LOL) It has given me so much more room on my desk top too! I like that I am able to adjust the height and angle of it. It is a bit hard to adjust but that is a plus because they dont move once you have them set in the perfect position. Highly recommend for anyone who needs to have their laptop screen up at sight level and have some extra room on your desktop.

The main purpose of this laptop stand was so I could use an external monitor in addition to my laptop and external accessories while being comfortable and ergonomic. I was looking at several different options, but what drew me to this was was the fact it has two sets of hinges that allow for multiple angles your laptop can be on. Im currently using my stand with a 13in Macbook Pro and there is still access space for a larger laptop if I wanted to. The stand is very sturdy and does not wiggle or wobble while my laptop is sitting on it. The laptop surface also has a grippy material that prevents your laptop from sliding anywhere. This stand is perfect for my everyday use whether it before to dock my laptop or use it as a dual screen.
