Greater than one weekI have 4 fancy goldfish in a 55 gallon tank. Usually use activated carbon and water always clear. Tried this due to good reviews, but it did not work for me. If you keep goldfish this product is not strong enough to keep water clear. For the record, I used two eleven ounce bags. That should be plenty!

> 3 dayReally does help clear up aquarium water. I was having high nitrates which caused cloudy eyes on 3 of my fish. After a water change and placing Chemi-Pure blue in my tank the cloudy eyes cleared up. The only thing I do not like was when I changed one of the power filter cartridges the Chemi-Pure bag busted causing the charcoal to fall to the sand bottom and the white beads floating all in the tank. Was a bit of a mess. Luckily the filters took in the white beads but I still have the charcoal on the sand bottom. Just be careful if placing in any filtration system I’m not sure if the bag weakened in the water or I actually punctured it.

> 3 dayForget stock media, and stock carbon! This stuff will house beneficial bacteria, give you crystal clear water, remove phosphates, and Nitrates! Works and fits perfectly on a hang on the back filter, canister filter, or a high flow area in your sump! Easy to use! Just rinse the bag under water to rinse the carbon, and place it straight into the filter of your choice!

> 3 dayAbsolutely LOVE this stuff. I use it in my 75g grow out tank as well as my 2 180 Gallon Cichlid tanks and have been using it for years. It keeps your water CRYSTAL CLEAR and last forever as well as cleans up very easily! The only issue I have with it is I feel like it is extremely overpriced. Its great yes, but way too pricey! That being said I will continue to buy and use it. The water in my bigger tanks always used to look a little foggy and have a cloudy haze to them until I started using this stuff. I get compliments all the time and how nice and clean my tanks look and outside of regular maintenance and keeping my parameters n check I give credit to Chemi-Pure Blue ...once you try it you wont go without it , even if it is overpriced! :)

> 3 dayI always wanted to believe in chemi pure. I tried it and took it out-many times over the last 30 years of marine aquarium keeping. I was just never happy with it. Its been years using another medium and honestly I wanted a little more pop out of mine. I read all the reviews. People love it and on and on. Okay Ill try it. Started with a small 5 oz and an 11 oz in the filter sock of my sump. Its just ok I thought. Left it in a week then threw in another 11 oz pouch and bam my tank has never looked this good in my entire life. Im not one who tries anything new. I thought my old stuff was great. It still is but nothing like this. Incredible. I have a 75 mixed reef. 20 gallon sump. The amount Im using is ridiculously too much but its working. I wish it was cheaper and I dont think it will last near 4 months but Im going to go with it for awhile and update along the way. Give it a try.

> 3 dayProduct does what it says but throughout the year I’ve had 4-8 bags burst in my sump, (I usually change every 2 months) can you imagine cleaning this thing out your sump and water column. SMH -won’t be buying this again as much I love it
