They were very close, he essentially grew up as an only child and she was his rock. She passed away last year not from covid by from a heart attack. Before passing she really wanted to know when we’d get engaged and be there for our wedding. Since she isn’t here with us physically, I thought this would be a beautiful way to incorporate her.
