Brother Printer TN331BK Toner Cartridge

No complaint about how the cartridge works, copies are very good. My problem is how many pages a cartridge is supposed to print. The last two TN331BK cartridges I purchased, didnt come close to the page count they are supposed to. Page count advertised on the box says 2500 pages. The first cartridge was short about 800 pages, this last one over 1,000. I realize heavier printing or two sided printing would cause more toner to be used, but I think my page totals should be coming closer to what Brother advertises the toner to do.

At first the toner seemed fine and since this is for home use it takes me a lot longer to go through toner so it also took over a year before I realized I was getting bad prints. In this whole time since I had this toner I probably only printed 500 pages. The toner had leaked a lot causing me to have to completely clean the inside of the printer and buy new toner. I thought this was genuine Brother toner but now I am questioning that. I ended up buying new toner at a store in town because I could not trust buying this again. I had also purchased the other 3 colors through Amazon and they were starting to leak toner as well. Very disappointed. I love shopping on Amazon but they really need to be sure that counterfeit products are not being sold.
